crouch is an difficult player to handle. Kaladze doesnt have the composure, who knows what Maldini's legs can deliver anymore. But if Bonera can curb his agression, he surely is a player that will disturb Crouch.
Is Defoe injured, his pace could cause problems. Other than that, I dont see a team of world beaters. Then again neither were Torino.

English Premier League clubs have had serious joy in the Champions League over the last few years, but perhaps Portsmouth's UEFA Cup adventure will be the true test of the league's strength.
English clubs are a tad hit-and-miss as far as Europe's other major club competition is concerned. Everton and Tottenham Hotspur were eliminated in the Round of 16 last term, despite both having high hopes of lifting the silverware. This term, the Toffees didn't even make the group stages, With FA Cup winners Pompey flying the English flag alongside Fair Play entrants Manchester City and Spurs, then Carling Cup holders. The three entrants are entirely unpredictable, although Pompey are probably the best specimen as they're the only side out of the three not to invest freakish amounts of money over too-short a period of time. Milan, meanwhile, have the squad and history of Champions League challengers, much less contenders. Thus, it'll be a bizarre mis-match which could be telling in terms of comparing the Italian and English games. In any case, Harry Redknapp is backing his old charges - who he has left somewhat in the lurch twice as a manager - to pull off a major shock by ripping the Rossoneri to shreds. The notorious gambler told The Sun: "I’m tipping a Portsmouth win. "Milan have great players in Ronaldinho, Kaka and Andriy Shevchenko. However, they’ve got a lot of games coming up, so Carlo Ancelotti might mix it up. "Whoever he picks, though, Milan are going to get a bit of a shock. "I’d love Portsmouth to be a success under Tony Adams and there will be a cracking atmosphere on Thursday. "It’s particularly good for tremendous professionals like David James, who probably thought they wouldn’t get another crack at Europe." *** Rednapp... lol... he may be right, but that's such a typical comment by any team against Milan that he thinks he is smart. Thta's what makes me laugh. |

LOL.. Redknapp may say all he wants, it's his right anyway, but don't sweat it. With all due respect to Portsmouth, we are Milan, we are the team to beat, not them

Its best that we score one goal and then sit back so we can defnd like Siena does and then after Emerson comes in, and we concede the goal ( as our backline is crap and Kaladze is guilty for 50% of our goals but Carlo wont play him at LB in any case), then we can start running again for 5-7 min and try to score from a penalty...
For r3eal, I dontz care about this match. The players and coach showed how much they care by their approach in Torino. Shamefull display by Milan. Oh yes, Pirlo is really "ready"...

Jeff - could you please quote the source as well from next time? That'd be great. Corriere dello Sport has reported talks of a possible swap between Ramos and Pato (according to Goal.com). Is there any way anyone can tell those people to f**k off (really sorry but couldn't help it).

i hope we dont go out there and embarrass ourselves!!!!
for a "BIG" club like milan, any eleven should be good enough to drive fear in the opponents... without Kaka and Dinho... we have no offensive threat... thats sucks!!!!

I sure hope Cardacio gets a run....(sorry Ace...couldnt help myself)
![]() Indeed, regardless of who we field, we should be able to win this, especially with Kaka on the pitch. I expect Pirlo to get a run, and maybe even start, though not to play for the full 90. Again, this is not going to be an "easy" match, as Pompey fans are going to be out in #s, and in full voice...and they will be playing the fast paced EPL game that can trouble our slower defense... That said, they will attack, and as such, leave space for us to exploit. Looking fwd to the game. FORZA MIIIIILAN!!
