I respect your opinions regarding lineups, but I just cannot see how you could ask for Antonini to start over Jank or leave Rino out.

Antonini proved in pre-season that he really does suck. And when I mentioned it then, nobody rebutted. Sure, Jank is not terrific in defense, but he is miles ahead of Antonini in attack and certainly better in defense. He's the best we've got in that position.

You cannot leave Rino out of a derby, because he is the biggest leader and most hungry player we've got. We will need to dominate the midfield in this game, and we can't do it without him.

I don't think Seedorf should get the start. We need Hunt/Pippo + Pato to keep the defense busy so that Dinho can have some space to create that magical through ball for a goal. If we start Dorf + Dinho with Pato, Pato will be shut down. We need Hunt/Pippo to keep the defense busy.

Offensive-wise, this would be the best. However, defensive-wise, I think Leo needs to consider the physical threat which Inter poses and Borriello actually can help balance this out.

Don't think that it would be wise to take to the field with only Nesta and T.Silva to counter Lucio and gang. Our midfielders unfortunately are either flimsy in defense (Pirlo) or not the tallest (Flamini/Gattusso).

Perhaps instead Seedorf can still play per your thoughts but with Ambro inserted instead of Flamini. I like Flamini more than Ambro, but in this case, the team comes first.

Of course, the logic is flawed. Media hype though does not conform to mechanical logic.

I still think that it would be unhealthy to have "temporary highs" of 5 points too early in the season with the CL mid-week matches barely begun. I rather have the team be kept on their toes all the way.

Would gladly be proven wrong and have Milan win Seria A but with the current squad, we lack the depth.

Patistico:
Both Antonini and Jankulovsky have been below what we want... Antonini probably has an edge since he has proven he can do it (better than this preseason) in both flanks... and as midfielder at times... and we expect more of Janku because he's a more established player.

Jeff:
Antonini is "younger" but not YOUNG as guys as Albertazzi for instance... and what in the world happened to Matteo Darmian?

^^ Darmian is on loan to Serie B club Padova at the moment. Albertazzi is MIA, however.

Well, well, well......... as i kept reading all along i was suprised to see a lot of people writing off Inter just because of the way they played against Bari.

Ofcourse they drew at the San Siro against a team thats playing first tier football after a long time but imo it wasnt their day. And just like any other Rossenero i would have loved to see Inter lose and which they almost did. But common we cannot ignore the facts can we. I watched the game n Bari didnt do much except for in the later stages of the second half. In the first half Inter was all over Bari and only if luck had favored Milito and Eto i guess Inter would have won it easily. And this was pretty much the same Inter side which beat Milan in preseason. Also this embarrasing draw would have had them all charged up. So it would be nice not to jump into conclusions all so early.

Yes i do agree with some of you ll here regarding the creativity of our midfield. It s by far better than Inter s. We look a much healthy a side on paper and i sure as hell hope we do on the field as well.

Yeah i also read something about "temporary highs". Well any advantage be it temporary or not is an advantage. So getting 5 points early on into the season is very much important as it would be at the end.

But no matter what my heart tells me that Milan will beat Inter. FORZA MILAN

Lets crush those snakes. Silva & Nesta can handle eto'o & milito, our mid trio can deal with theirs, we need R80 to step up and Pato to play how he has started. I'd go with same 11 vs Siena, unless we sign Rafinha, then move Zambro to left.

Some people are seriousely underrating Inter, who are EXTREMLY good team. They have now 4,5 new players and need a bit of time. You talk like Eto'o + Millito are nothing, and say how Thiago-NEsta can handly them. Yes, Thiago-NEsta can handly anyone, but Zambro and MArek cant mark Siena players!

Pressing on Dinho will be 3X stronger then in Siena game, made by Vieira most likely, maybe even Motta.

We have luck that Cambiasso and Santon are out, so they miss Cambiasso-Zanetti duo in midfield, Javier will play as a LB.

Inter do lack creativity and in my oppinion they made a huge mistake when they sold Ibra. But they are still extremly strong team.

What gives new hope is that we'll see Flamini on our left side, and not Ambro vs Maicon like in the last derby when Ambro played coz he is older probably...

Also I dont think its a good idea to play Seedorf-Dinho-Pato- Pato would be pushed between Lucio-Materazzi/cb and we'd loosed his deep play, which frees up a lot of space due to his ability to go 1 on 1 easily against fullbacks.

I'd play Huntelaar IF he is 100% fit, they know that in Milanello. If not, then Boriello or maybe even Pippo if Leo was preparing him phisically. We also saw Leo took out Rinho who probably needed 7 more days for full 90min fitness.

Our Us tour was complete joke, its was just for more money. Players need to be in Milanello and work, and prepare like Cappello's Juve used to do.

“After the handicap of the summer tour in America, which was a bad decision, the side has been steadily improving through the Trofeo Berlusconi and Siena,” Maldini told the Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter is a better team then us ATM. I dont care about the tie myself. But momentum is on our side and doubt is on theirs now. Thats what im happy about. Talent is amazing but when you stop believing in it your ****ed.

Thats why my hope is that we win this game, because i think 2 wins back to back and beating our rivals is the boost we have been dreaming about.

And i will say it again, Cambiaso not playing is the greatest gift that the football Gods can give us. My only worry is the Maicon delivering the crosses in. Thats All..

I hope we win, i hope we play well, and i hope every game more of our fans on this site will believe in THIS squad.

Forza Milan!!!!!!!!!!!!!

any chance we could put Flamini at FB for this game? then we could use a midfield of Ambro/Abate-Pirlo-Gattuso.

Seriously, how many games did inter really played well last year? Not many really, they were struggling a lot and depend a lot on refs to give penalty and ibra to save them. They are not a better team than Juve and Milan last year. I don't think they will be better this year. As long as Milan perform like we are capable of then Milan will be fav to take the game.

For me, I was making judgments on Inter considering the way they played in the past seasons, and vs. Bari it was confirmed what they lack, Creativity...

remove Ibra, and they'll struggle like a Serie C team... Remember how they won the league two seasons ago? yes Ibra saved their asses in the last match vs Parma.. if they were that great they won't suffer that much in their last run.

remeber last season? the season you all said was a big failure(which it was..), but in my opinion, Inter almost had a heart attack in our last run aswell, and if it wasn't for the first 2 matches that we lost, the gap between us wouldn't be that big.

like I said, they don't have any creative mind in midfield, and even if Cambiasso was playing they would struggle.

I bet you guys didn't even watch the match vs Bari, Inter had to work 10 times harder than usual just to get near the penalty box, and when Bari countered, Inter didn't have any played in the midfield to stop the attack, Bari had all the time in the world to build a counter attack.

Mourinho's worst nightmare is becoming true, having a squad full of clowns with no1 to save them in the 90th minute.

and BTW, no defense in the world can mark Pirlo, Jankulovski(if he played), Pato and Ronnie at the same time, so defensive gaps is a sure thing, and hope our players can exploit them
