I was against this purchase at once, but now I'm for it.

Yes, we're playing great, and yes a player like Cassano doesn't actually fits a team spirit Allegri has made here, but Milan is not just winning but playing entertaining football too. And it's became symptomatic that we're putting brilliant players to the side. OK, Ronaldinho didn't deserved anything more, because his behavior wasn't good, but Cassano is more serious and should fit in.

Someone has put pictures of Savicevic and Baggio here, and Cassano is really the same type of player, brilliant technique, brilliant dribbler and brilliant vision. With Ibra, it's like two technically strongest players in the world at the moment, aside Totti and Ronaldinho when he wants to play.

As for formation, I don't think Allegri will use Cassano as trequartista. Cassano is a type of player, if you want him to play as trequartista you need 3 midfielders who should cover enormous amount of space. Just like Baggio has had at Juventus, and Savicevic here in Milan. I remember that Capello used to sacrifice Donadoni for Eranio just to cover space left behind Savicevic, when he played trequartista (it was 1996, Baggio came to Milan and the only way to play two geniuses together was to play one of the as AM).

The more likely is back to 4-3-3, with Cassano entering the middle. Something like "soft" 4-3-1-2.

And at the end, here some short footage of Totti and Cassano team play. It's a rarely seen combination of two players with brilliant technique and footballing brain. A football brilliance that can only be seen in Serie A. Enjoy.

This is not really a concern. This is what you are hoping for.

Btw, welcome back .

No but that doesn't mean you have to say bad things about a player. Most of us don't curse Leonardo to f*** himself do we?

Apart from what Merda fans wrote, Inter don't have class. Why do we need to discuss something that is exact like that? It is a useless discussion.

Thanx for the link sheva-gila.

And Karim was right too, let us not generalize. After all it, was just one COMMUNITY MODERATOR who wished all the worst for Cassano.

Some forum, some class

Can someone make a Poll, I'm curious to see if MM members think Cassano will play as Second Striker or ACM/Trequartista:

Cassano-----------Ibra
---Robinho/Seedorf----

OR

Ibra-----Pato/Robinho
----Cassano------------

It is a good idea to make a poll.

I think Milan will play with 4-3-1-2 with Cassano behind Ibra and Robinho but Ibra could drop back to partner with Cassano, so it would look like a 4-3-2-1 formation. I think that Cassano will be 'forced' by Allegri to always move and track back, a task Boateng did but with offensive orientation.

To have him as a second striker is better than use him as a trequaresta behind two strikers.

Cassano is a finisher as well as a creator like Ibra, but if Ibra is given space upfront to roam the 18 yard box with Cassano changing roles with him they will be deadly with another player as a trequaresta like Seedorf or even Prince.

If Pato plays though, then may be Cassano behind them will be too attacking except if a winger is scarified for another defensive midfielder in the middle.

In Allegri's team, he needs two moving and passing players who also help the defense among the three attackers. Neither Pato and Cassano is this style, one and only one of them will be deployed I guess.

Luckily Allegri has this headache, and not me. All 4 deserve to play, given their talent (cassano, pato) and form (robinho), so it will be really hard to accomodate when they are all fit.
Maybe this will give us more incentive to stay in all competitions so we have more games.
