Yepes and Antonini are playing very good. Lazio is dangerous with Kozak, very strong and skilled striker, he has pretty good tecnique for his size...
Pato and ibra partnership lacks something for now...if we had Merkel in midfield, it would be more balanced for us. |

Our passes in the final third have been awful so far. Both teams seem to have quantity and enthusiasm in abundance but few quality to back it up.

We need to stretch them if we can a bit more width , but any team we play against always had 8 men in there own half.This really is a must win game , we need t be beating the teams around us especially at home.

We need to attack Lazio's wide areas more. Our best chances have generally been built down the left, but Ibra, Emanuelson and Pato aren't looking to move into these areas enough, despite Lichtsteiner looking pretty weak defensively (well, he's actually struggling when we have more than one player attacking down his wing).
The right side is pretty much anonymous going forward. Oddo should look to make more runs forward (though question is whether he has the legs to). Flamini is trying to press up, but again it's our attacking players who aren't moving enough or quickly enough. We need to play with greater urgency and press higher to really put consistent pressure on Lazio, who until now have only had to deal with individual moments. We also need to be patient in this match and not allow ourselves to get frustrated. Lazio's gameplan makes them difficult to break down, but they will open up. we are better, but we're so unorganized...
the midfield looks bad to me. or maybe i just expect too much. lazio is pretty invisible but we are unable to find that final pass.. maybe merkel for emanuelson? he did miss that sitter and didn't create much.. Also, yepes very good again |
