Secondo quanto riportato da alcuni organi di stampa, nello specifico "Il Giornale", sarebbe emerso il nome della società giallorossa duratne l'inchiesta sulla Gea.

Al momento non ci sarebbe alcuna contestazione o indagato del club romanista ma si parla di una conversazione telefonica tra Paolo Bergamo, uno dei designatori arbitrali al centro dello scandalo, e il Presidente della Roma Franco Sensi su alcuni fischietti "graditi" al patron giallorosso, intercettata nel 2002 dalla Guardia di Finanza di Livorno.

In cambio di questo favore, Bergamo avrebbe ricevuto aiuti per la stipula di polizze Ina Assitalia - all'epoca sponsor della Roma - di cui l'ex-arbitro era agente generale nella provincia di Livorno.

L'inchiesta in sé era stata archiviata ma, dopo gli ultimi sviluppi, potrebbe tornare in primo piano, tanto che il pubblico ministero che aveva acquisito gli atti della Procura di Livorno era Luca Palamara, ovvero il magistrato che sta indagando sui Moggi.

Tre, complessivamente, i filoni dell'inchiesta:

3) L'interrogatorio di venerdì scorso di Franco Baldini, ex-direttore sportivo giallorosso nemico di Moggi, che avrebbe confermato tutte le precedenti accuse alla Gea e al dirigente bianconero Baldini lasciò la Roma dopo che questa era entrata nell'orbita di Luciano e Alessandro Moggi.

Questa la conversazione tra Moggi e Giraudo che ha insospettito particolarmente la procura:
Giraudo (riferendosi a Mazzoleni, dirigente della Roma): "Questo continua a rompere i co... che vogliono fare il contratto delle partite, no?
