My goodness, compared to 'Ronnie the Whale 2006's nighmarish mode ON', Eto'o is like Puskas!

Well, with so little time to round our squad...I would go for Saviola and try to get another striker. But Saviola looks like a nice option at this very moment and is as easy to get as they come.

Saviola is a good forward, a very good one, indeed... but the board wants a 'high-profile-mediatic' man...

If you could guarantee that Saviola we would get would be the energetic creative player of his early Barca days then great ! But if it's the Saviola who was quite ordinary for both Monaco & Sevilla at times, then no thanks.

At least I seem lots of room on Saviola to improve.

He looks to be staying at Barca anyway. They got rid of two forwards, Larsson & Lopez and brought two in Saviola & Gudjohnson ...

I don't think they'll sell him ... likewise the only way they'd sell Etoo is if they REALLY wanted Trezeguet and i can't see that happening.

I'd like to see us buy Mascherano & Gago, inject a bit of youthful flair and grit into the midfield and cut loose some of the slack.

If we're not going to buy any decent forwards then we can at least improve in the other areas.

these are some nice players imo too ... and I think we could expect Milan to go for a mid by the end of the transfer period. Gago, I doubt we'll go for him as he is a bit inexperienced and Milan would probably prefer to see him establish himself and pay more for him then, rather than pay 10+ mil now for a very promising talent.
But Mascherano is already an established player so, at least for me, he is a realistic option, especially given that Chelski are full of midfeilders now and at least for now won't be on his trail.

Well we have Gourcuff and he's nowhere near established, Foggia also. So i wouldn't see any difference if we had someone like Gago to throw on in games.

If not to bring him over to Milan now, we could at least buy him and let him stay where he is or do one of those co-ownership deal things ... just to secure him
