It's a tournament now ... one leg for each round.
The games are played in "neutral stadiums".

where is inter? I thought they finished top of the table? :s

Milan playing Samp and the first half ended 1-2 to Milan.

3-2 down now.

6-0 last week against the German team and now 3-2 to Samp after winning 2-1...I really don't get the hype that our management are pouring in onto this team...

Hitmann, this team won the first Primavera Cup in decades for Milan ... and they have never looked as strong as this year since years and years too !!

Your comment means nothing: they were destroyed 6-0 during this final of the Ruhr Cup (friendly cup - just to know, did someone watch the game ?), but they went to the final and beat several teams to be there !! A bad game/week can always happen to any team in the world, it looks like it happened to this Primavera team this week.

Verdi is one player to look for in the future, but who else? There must be one or two more that have great potential. Bende Bende is one that I've heard mentioned and this young lad that we've signed from Brescia is apparantly a big prospect. SUrely there are people in the know on this board who can help us at least look forward to something as most Milan news these days is rather depressing.

Edmund Hottor is supposed to be a big talent. we signed him from triestiena last january. also that new midfielder we signed a few days ago is said to be a big talent, Marco ezio Fossati (or something like that) is his name.


Then there is Andrea De Vito, Rodney Strasser, Gianmarco Zigoni, Nnamdi Odumandi, Michelangelo Albertazzi and Simone Romagnoli.

Its interesting that this guy Romangnoli is the least mentioned by any of us,and he is the captain of the primavera!!?? has anyone watched him?

I guess that his age (he was one of the oldest player in the squad) was one of factors why he was chosen as the captain.

I watched him in a couple of game (Primavera games). He looked calmer and more experienced compare to Albertazzi for example, who seems having more talent than other our defenders but Albertazzi's play as defender still looked so rough (with some unnecessary mistakes). He played also like a leader in the defence, covered mistake from the fullback beside him or his partner Albertazzi. I need to watch him much more to be able to judge him but in my opinion our new coach could use him as backup for our defenders (but better to loan him out since he is not so young which means he really needs games to improve, something hard to get in the first team of Milan except the new coach is much better compare to Leonardo with respect of giving faith to the young players).

We need someone to keep us updated on all these youth buys. Last year we bought like 5 or 6 and this year we already have got 5. Thats 11 in just two years (at least).

JuanShoe, that kid from Brescia was not bought. They rejected our 5m bid for the 15 year old.

I am not very updated on the Milan youth players, and I have seen a few games..to be honest I am not impressed with anyone besides De Vito, Albertazzi, Darmian and Strasser. Even players like Verdi, Oduamendi and Romagnoli who were highly rated did not impress me as much as the rest. But then again, I did not see enough games to judge. Fossati seems to be a big talent after all the attention he got when we bought him.

Verdi is very good but of course not ready yet. ROmagnoli is too old and should be loaned out to play some Serie B or A games before it is too late.....

And 5 million for a 15 yr old whilst we can't spend 5 million on a first team player is not right.

So we made a trade of co-ownerships with Genoa ...
Albertazzi, Zigoni and Oduamendi from Milan and Diabye, Ragusa and Polenta from Genoa will be shared between the winner of the Primavera Cup (Milan) and the winner of the Primavera championship (Genoa).

Not bad to have some kind of partnership at youth level, good idea IMO ...
