because the dida 3 years back would save all these and more. I rate him better than buffon back then. You must understand our expectation of Dida is the same as Buffon. He was that great. Don't think you can understand when you aren't a Milan fan.

Actually, i can't even remember when was the last time Milan went to SS being pushed by the wall.
Milan wasn't defeated in the first leg ( if it was an away match) for God knows how long, so we can't really compare past situations with this one.

But there were situations during the matches when Milan had to score ( vs Ajax in 2003 and vs Lyon last year) and on both matches Milan found the way to score last minutes goals

Those are all shots that a GK of a team like MILAN should be able to stop easily! It is hard to stop those shots for you and me, but it shouldn't be for a GK of one of the best teams in the world!
We'll never win anything with him.

I'm shocked about our level of fitness. From 60 minutes and to the end we weren't in the game. That's what really cost us. Both Dida and Nesta were horrible on that last goal in injury time, but our team was totally exhausted so it's no surprise that errors occurred...

I went from happy to disappointed during those last minutes. But hey, we're still not in a too bad position to go through to the final.

So ... we lost. Not a tragic result though.
Man Utd perhaps deserved something from their great 2nd half performance.
We saw a fairly good performance from Milan, largely defensive, and some lapses in concentration ended up costing us. Disappointeing first, early goal, though Dida was a bit unlucky. Second goal, Oddo (as much as I like him), palyed Rooney onside - Dida's save not strong enough. Third goal, well we know what happened.

Dida = 7. Some good saves and stops, could have done better with the goals though..
Oddo = 6. Sometimes effective, sometimes not.
Nesta = 7. Had a good game, perhaps could have prevented Rooney's second but then again it was a good goal - and an early shot.
Maldini = 5. Was only on for half a game, showing his age maybe? Some poor touches.
Jankulovski = 6. Same as Oddo (didn't notice him much). Got down the wing well though.
Gattuso = 7. Pity he had to go off, was really attacking Utd when they had possession.
Pirlo = 6. A couple of good balls, some poor passes though. Maybe should have down better with the FKs.
Ambro = 6. Gave a away too many fouls, though held the midfield well.
Kakà = 8. Showed justh ow important he is to us, maybe the only good player in the team. Faded in the second half though.
Seedorf = 7. I was happy with him for once. Didn't have a massive influence, but was helpful with some of our attacks.
Gila = 5. Hhhhmmm. Probably too harsh on him, playing up front is hard. Hardly got a touch of the ball.

Subs:
Bonera = 6. Did okay, gave away some dangerous fouls.
Brocchi = 5. Didn't do much, apart from ...
Gorky = n/a. On too late really.

If we can remain concentrated and attack a bit more next Weds we should go through. And I'm not a pro at giving ratings ...

Guys, I'm just as pissed as the rest of you for the result, so let me vent, okay? I have no idea who created that image, so I'm not addressing anyone in particular on here.

Too harsh? How can anyone get a rating when they touch the ball twice and dive. 0 is my rating for him. I'm sick of it. How long do we have to wait before he starts performing in the CL?

dont generalize it like that. He is only blamed for idiotic positioning for the 3rd goal.

for the first goal, he went out but he didnt went out far enough. He stayed in the middle... he would save it on the line, and even if he didnt he wouldnt be criticised because there was noone on ronaldo. It ended like a complete defending-mess, thats all...

my rating for gila with be 0/10 i half fit pippo could do better as he proved in germany
