He is really good, Jim. As mkri wrote, in his specific case, discipline is the key.
And he is much better and less expensive than, for exemple, Torres.
But he is a bit crazy...

Im not saying Ibra can compare to Sheva, but we need something, anything that has some quality. About Diarra, wow really! If we manage to do that, that would be brilliant! Oddo, Diarra, Ibra!

I think UEFA will let us enter the CL in the 3rd qualifying round, but then might replace us with another team when they discuss it further.

Tevez, Suazo, Crespo. Two of those three is what we should be aiming at. £16 million for Ibrahimovich ? What's the point ? I don't see him guaranteeing us 20 odd goals a season, even in his best form. Isn't the fact that we need to make excuses for him already (he needs a motivating force, he needs to sort himself out, he needs to stop being crazy, he needs to be disciplined, etc) enough of a reason to not want him in the first place ? If we're to spend that kind of money, why not add another £5 million to the total and get Tevez ?

I just see it as a big waste of money on a player who is lazy and extremely self centred. I really hope Deschamps keep him.

Just to clarify my position, i'm not saying he was always a bad player and doesn't have skill, i just don't think he's good enough for us and carries far too much emotional baggage. Would you want that kind of disruption in our usual serene environment ?

Im still up for Ibra, at this point. Suazo is , on the other hand, a plyer that can offer us much for relatively low cost. I think we should go for him if we cant sign Ibra or Tevez. Crespo has no place in Milan anymore, we have Pippo and Gila. Torres,Ibra,Tevez and Suazo can create, and that is what we need.

U kno, I agree with most of what you have stated here, and indeed...Tevez for me would be the better bet...but, Milan think that he is the best short, medium, and long term answer to our striker problem...so, I will just have to give them the benefit of the doubt...I for one wont be rushing out to buy an Ibra jersey....thats for sure...

On the other side though, he is talented, and in the right environment (such as ours) he could finally fulfill his potential as one of the better young strikers out there...there is no doubt he is skilled on the ball...a trifle selfish, but arent all strikers?...Big and strong...and usually finishes well...

Dont like his personality, dont like his style....but if he scores 15+ goals for us, then he will be easier to try to like

He would have to have a stunning return to form when he came here and keep in mind he's already 25 so you can't say he's still learning the game. He should be hitting his peak about now and in the next few years.

Compare this to Tevez who scores for fun, albeit in South American leagues where defending isn't forth right, has won South American player of the year 3 times (or whatever the award was) and is still only 22.

I know i don't have to convince you or most others here about this fact, but it seems Mr Berlusconi needs convincing that by spending a bit more we'd have a much better player for our club.

That's exactly the main point of the question: The board must do the hardest we can to replace Shevchenko properly, not choosing the more 'convenient' or 'easy' alley.

In fact, if most stars are as good as they are in FM then there would be a lot more goals in the world,

but there are not many.

I wonder if the next FM will have match fixing and the next FIFA game will have a 'diving' or 'simulate giving a card' button ?

I don't know about that but could have a "Moggi" button for winning titles automatically - click once - or a quick descent to secod division with pts deducted - click twice

Lets go for Ibrahimovic, he has a tremendous upside. On another note I just saw the first pics of Milan's former no.7, in a different jersey. It was quite eerie. Back to topic
I hope we can get Ibra. The players we have now are strictly pointmen. Pippo, Gila, Boriello, and Amoruso, Ibra would give us the versatility that we need upfront. And he can play off our point men.
