Milan midfielder Yoann Gourcuff has declared his intention to stay at Bordeaux when his loan deal expires.

The 22-year-old signed for the Rossoneri from Rennes in 2006 and was touted as the new Zinedine Zidane.

But after struggling to find space at San Siro, Gourcuff was sent back to Ligue 1 to play for Bordeaux on loan.

Yoann has dazzled fans this season and won the Player of the Season award and it seems that he isn't keen to return to San Siro in the summer.

“I want to stay with Bordeaux,” he stressed emphatically. “Now it's just up to the directors to come to an agreement.”

The terms of the loan state that Bordeaux have the right to make the deal permanent, but they will need to find around £12m - a sum they are unlikely to meet.

Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has stressed that he hopes to see Gourcuff in the Diavolo shirt next term.

They have 6 days to agree.

No, there is still big possibility that Goucuff will return. What he said (if that's true) is not an absolute decision. It depends on Milan how they convince Gourcuff to come back. Even the management seem terrible at transfer market lately but how they negotiate is another thing.

Last year we got Flamini, who was alo aimed by Juventus, although we didn't qualify for the Champions League. I am still confident Gorcuff will return especially with the news about Carlo's departure insify.

Milan or Bordeaux? He will choose Milan. He is not like he was before he came to Milan, he is now getting much more experienced and mature. Even Carlo is the coach, he should have self-confidence that he will play since just like I just said, he is now a much better player.

Siregar, first and foremost, it doesn't depend on us, at least for the next six days. We have put the amount on the loan contract, and now it's up to Bordeaux. It's not a small sum of money, so they must think of it very carefully before making the decision.

Personally, I would be really, really glad to see Gorky return to us. But it's understandable if he said that he prefer to stay with Bordeaux.

No, it doesn't depend on Bordeaux BUT Gourcuff. He is the core of the decision. If he decides that he HAS NO intention to return than it depends on Bordeuaux. Until there is no absolute decision from Gourcuff, Milan and Bordeaux are in same position but Milan have advantage if they can negotiate with Gourcuff properly.

But he has already declare his intention i.e. to stay in Bordeaux. He seemed to be able to enjoy himself as a footballer there, and what's more important, he's playing in the winning team. They'd won the domestic cup and are about to win the league as well. He will have the chance to play in the biggest stage (UCL), and with World Cup coming, it's understandable he wants to play as often as possible to cement his place in France NT.

Well said ... Siregar, you don't seem to understand the reasons of such a choice, it's not only about Bordeaux or Milan as clubs.

TMW reports the first good news in this Gourcuff-saga: some "directors" of Milan are in Bordeaux today to meet Triaud, the president of Bordeaux, and Gourcuff. They say in it that they are there to convince Gourcuff to come back because the possible new coach (for them, Leonardo) wants to use him in midfield.

So small hopes can be back as the limit is near and no agreement is still reached ... (the only way I see Milan being able to convince Bordeaux not to use their option would be to give them one or two players, good players of course but I don't know who as I don't think there are a lot of players in our team who would want to play in France, or to help them to buy a replacement for Gourcuff).

The only bad feeling I have is that these "directors" from Milan are maybe there to make official the deal between Bordeaux and Gourcuff ...

I guess we wait and see. Gourcuff did make that announcement about wanting to stay pretty much straight after Carlo said that as he sees it, he's at Milan next season 100%. Things have clearly taken a turn and Carlo's position looks less secure than ever, so maybe there is some hope in changing his mind.

The fact is that Gourcuff seemed embarrassed during the ceremony when they asked the question about his future, a bit like if he had to say that he wants to stay ... I don't know if it's because of that or if it's because he's really shy (as he doesn't seem to like speaking in front of medias and in front of a lot of people). I even thought that Laurent Blanc looked sceptical while Gourcuff said that. When they insisted by asking him to confirm what he just said, Zidane said before him "He said he stays in Bordeaux, stop asking !!" (by joking of course) and again Gourcuff seemed embarrassed.

Maybe just a bad interpretation from myself to still hope ...

Nah, that's true. First of all it depends on Gourcuff. If he will choose Milan or Bordeaux, we will see (IF Bordeaux for example want to use the clause in his contract).

I think, you don't understand what Nalx and I discussed about. It's about who decides the move, not about 'will he return to Milan or stay in Bordeaux'. About if he will return or not (as I just said above), we will see.
