Daily Mail + Goal.com = lol. "Spain’s Dani Guiza is the latest player to be linked with a move to the Emirates, according to the Daily Mail. Güiza, who was La Liga’s pichichi last season scoring 27 league goals, is expected to leave Real Mallorca this summer with Arsenal the latest club to be linked to the Spanish striker. According to the paper, Güiza is being viewed as a potential replacement to Emmanuel Adebayor who has been rumoured to be interesting both Barcelona and AC Milan in recent weeks." ---- But take it as you wish... If Arsenal acquires this player, Adebayor would leave... Guiza isn't even that good. Most of his goals were against lower tier teams, and you can all see his sub-par performance against Italy. |

diogo + pato could be interesting.... could be a strike force for 10+ years. I imagine the selecao would like it if they played for club together and gelled. Unfortunately would 2 strikers that young and unproven in europe (atleast diogo) be able to win serie A?

Yeah I talked with an Arsenal fan recently about Guiza, and he was laughing about that... and praying that his team does not replace Adebayor with Guiza. If Adebayor leaves (and that looks relatively likely), Guiza would be the worst replacement. It would be like Milan and Oliveira. Guiza plays for a no name team like Mallorca... Edit: BTW, I'm still stunned we sold Oliveira for 10-11 million was it? How did Galliani pull that off and get Zaragoza (now relegated) to pay that much? Our selling has been very impressive... not undervalued... sometimes overvalued (for the case of Oliveira and Gilardino). I'm not against getting every dime we can. We paid between that for him, and that was a waste of money indeed. But they paid us 10 million euros. I assume you're talking in Euros right? |

i looked... 42 points. terrible away form, but it seems they just got unlucky at end. Yeah, well spanish league had alot fo parity last 2 seasons. I mean real madrid won la liga w/ 7 losses. Barca had 67 points (mind you we got 64) and were 3rd

off wikipedia on oliviera....
A.C. Milan Milan lost Andriy Shevchenko after 2006 Italian football scandal, in search of replacement, Milan finally spotted Oliveira who missed the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Oliveira signed a five year contract for A.C. Milan on 31 August 2006, with Johann Vogel moved to opposite position as part of the deal. The two clubs negotiated nearly a week due to dispute between the transfer fee. The agreed price reported be €17.5million.[3] ............................... yeah if i remember we agreed on 14 then betis moved out wanting 21 or so.

My fav, Inzaghi was bought from Juve... Either way if we made 10 million Euros by selling Oliveira I say we did pretty well at least getting some money back on that failure. Pato is young, but is starting to show consistency. But I still say we get a major striker. Last edited by Giancarlo; 24-06-2008 at 17:58. |

i think if we got arshavin. arshavin + kaka, seedorf, pirlo can give ANY striker ALOT of opportunities to score.
