Lets not even comment on Galliani's and Berlusconi's words. Those words can be for kids in 5th grade, not for epople that follow football and have brains. ( and live in a country where politicians steal and lie everyday so people already know how to recognise demagogy (sp? ).

I wouldnt be surprised if Milan signs Hernanes, and then sells Pirlo who already has some kind of a deal but he doesnt know about it. Milan sells and buys like they want, not like players want. 105mln and Kaka' was an exception becouse of Ricky. Pirlo to Ancelotti is a normal thing right now.

And, at this moment, I wouldnt sell Pirlo. I'd just buy Hernanes. I do dislike Pirlo, but now we can use some classic players of ours, its unsafe to sell too much. Aldough if another midfielder arrives Pirlo will leave coz of the money etc. Hernanes will be payed 2mln per year, Pirlo now has 5 or so.

It would be good to close to Cissokho deal and let Leonardo has his players. Free Marek for midfield or include him in some other deal.

About forwards, Dzeko hasnt signed anything wih Wolfsburg still...

And this hunt for a CF is useless. That doesnt mean we cant sign other players we need. Promise was 65mln will be back in the team, 2mln were invested.

There are too many "if"'s in Milans team: Thiago, Nesta, Dinho, Pirlo's form, Kaladze and his suicidile missions in defence etc.

I dont ask for being Madrid, but this is too much. They have no shame and no pride ( aguess that is how you become rich as them...). Ultras Milano all the way!

P.S.

This C.Ronaldo histerya is beyond me. Our Ricky is a better player then him, Im 100% convinced. But marketing does miracles. Ricky rules the field, Ronaldo rules when he has the ball. Madrid will have a hell of a team, no doubt. But its good I have my Barcelona shirt from Rivaldo era I got as a present ( you dont reject presents...)

Really cannot compare North American big 4 or big 3 sports with Soccer.
As there are huge differences between them.
Namely Salary Cap, Draft and League Structure.

Lyon bought Lisandro Lopez from Porto for 24 mil, I think.

Everybody knows that Lyon sells their players for big amount of money for years now, so would probably drain them as much as they can.
I know that everyone knows we got some cash right now and it is not easy to bargain with someone.

Just an example: Bayern want 80 million Euros for Ribery.....80 million

Perez could give them Sneijder, Van der Vaart + money which is a very good deal for everyone.
I'm starting to regret that we missed our chance to get some of the RM players as well. 60 million + Huntelaar is something that Perez would have agreed on.

It just feels to me that we were the easiest target this summer, and Kaka is the best out there today but no, we had to sell him quite cheap when you look at the "Ribery saga".

Galli was used like a little naive kid.

When it comes to midfielders, I just wonder, how much did Napoli pay for Cigarini? He has impressed me the last year, and I think he would be a great player in the future.

When Mourinho was asked about Serie A, he said that the top three were weaker than England, but that from there on, the teams in Serie A are far stronger. Looking at the sort of talent that is at the disposal of teams outside of Milan, Inter, Juve, and Roma, you would be astonished not to see them at bigger sides.

I think there are two players from relegated sides that Milan should seriously consider: Andrea Esposito from Lecce and Torino's Rosina. Rosina should not be a starter, but he would be a useful player, and cheap. Esposito has been rather impressive, especially considering which players he is lining up with.

Watching Leonardo's first real press conference, it seems that Nesta is really being relied upon. It seems that the management isn't going after any real CBs, because they are truly looking at Nesta as someone to carry Milan next season. Obviously Thiago Silva is the other half of that pairing, but it's clear that three parts of our back four will be Zambro-Nesta-Thiago Silva- whether Zambro shifts left for Oddo, or Janku, or Crisicto/Cissoko takes that last spot, I do'nt know.

Bonera was also the first name he mentioned, when speaking about CBs, so I think Leonardo is also trusting Bonera. I mean, he just got a contrast extension, so it seems pretty obvious he'll be relied upon.

One thing to mention, it seems that Abbiati is actually in training with the squad. I mean, the pictures on Milan's site is small, but it seems that he has suited up and was part of the squad.
I agree that we don't need CB's but we need some good SB's jankulovski and zambrotta are old now,and slow also.not to mention oddo who's crossings are awful

Quite honestly, I've read a lot of comments coming out from Milan in the past 24 hours and there's a lot of various things that caught my interest. For a start, Ambro admitting that in recent years players have underperformed is a big start. If the players themselves are saying this, then there's the possibility we'll see a more motivated Milan side next season. Truth has always been and remains that the players themselves can compete at a high level when they work hard. This was most evident in the 2007 CL run.

Then there's Leo's comments. His ideas are ones which sound good to many fans. He advocates greater movement and stronger use of the wings. The fact is he also seems to want everyone in the team to work hard, as he says he'll look into the the role of a forward after the ball has been lost. For me, this is important for teamplay and getting a better unit.

Galliani spewed rubbish yesterday as always, but I've not lost all hope yet. In fact, I still get the impression that by September Cissokho and Dzeko will be in the squad, simply because the rumours are simply not allowed to die. Dzeko seems most unlikely now, but certainly I think a CF will come.

These two transfers are vital as they are areas we severely need to strengthen. For me, this market I'd go for at least Cissokho, Dzeko and Santacroce (sell Kaladze to make it happen), which would be a good start for rebuilding.

"Milan have won 26 trophies in the last 23 seasons, 13 in Italy and 13 abroad," affirmed Galliani to Milan Channel.

"These victories are a guarantee for the future, thanks to these trophies Milan have become the most title-winning club in the world.

Goal.com Galliani

When i here such words, the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. It is a mixture of hate, disgust and pity for thecurrent management . What he should be really saying is that "Milan is the most succesful club in history, and we have no idea how such an incompetent management team, including myself, are doing here....."

Yes, Ambro's words were gutsy and correct. He is like a slightly less brawny yet more intelligent Rino Gatusso.

And, I don't really care if we don't buy a new CF. Please, just give us a world-class fullback to seal up the area which has been a thorn in our ars# for atleast three years now!

Lazio To Hijack Inter's Deal For Twente Striker Marko Arnautovic – Report
The Aquilotti are sniffing around the striker and are ready to launch an assault for him...
7 Jul 2009 09:41:24

Lazio are ready to rumble Inter's move for Twente striker Marko Arnautovic.

The Nerazzurri have been in pole position to land the talented hitman, but his foot injury has cast doubts over the move. Lazio have now launched a bid to snatch the hitman from under Jose Mourinho's eyes.

According to Il Corriere Dello Sport, directors from Lazio made contact with their colleagues at Twente and they made their interest in the striker known. However, Arnautovic was in Milan on Monday having a medical with the Nerazzurri, leading to speculation that he will complete his move their after all.

Lazio still have a chance to make their move as the youngster remains a Twente player for the time being. This has left Lazio with an open door to make their move. It is said Joop Munsterman, the Dutch club's owner, is ready to listen to offers from other clubs.

The player is on the road to recovery from the foot injury he sustained towards the end of last season. Claudio Lotito is looking for a hitman, but the feeling in Italy is that he will only make a move if Goran Pandev decides to leave.

Conflicting reports claim the Aquilotti need to cut down their squad after 36 players turned up for pre-season on Sunday, suggesting their is no room for new faces.

Salvatore Landolina, Goal.com

You may wonder what the relevance of this post maybe. It's just there to highlight the fact that lesser Italian teams such as Lazio are pushing just as hard for a striker as we are....

Already, Lazio, Genoa and Napoli have added well to their squads. So its not just worrying about our competetive edge over Juve and Inter.

Report: Milan Director Ariedo Braida Flies To Brazil For Miranda & Hernanes
Braida has travelled to South America to attend Pato’s wedding and could resume talks with Sao Paulo over the highly-rated pair.
7 Jul 2009 08:47:06

Hernanes
Milan supporters voiced their anger at the club’s lack of activity in the transfer market yesterday, however, there could soon be some movement as the Rossoneri plot a chart for Brazilian duo Hernanes and Joao Miranda.

Despite Kaka’s departure for Real Madrid, the Rossoneri have yet to make a single signing this summer, aside for central defender Thiago Silva, who has been training at Milanello for the past six months.

However, director general Ariedo Braida is now in Brazil. Star striker Alexandre Pato will tie the knot with actress Sthefany Brito tomorrow, and Calciomercato.it claims the director will take this opportunity to sound out Sao Paulo over midfielder Hernanes and central defender Miranda.

The duo have long been targets for the Rossoneri, but Sao Paulo warned last month that cash-strapped Milan do not have the required funds to sign them, sporting director Joao Paulo de Jesus Lopes joking that the players are worth considerably more than a crate of bananas.

Miranda reportedly has a €14 million rescission clause, while Hernanes is valued at around €40m. (OMG!)

Milan could turn to Internacional hitman Nilmar after Real Madrid rejected their offer for Dutch striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. The Rossoneri have also been scared off by Sevilla, who slapped a €30m price tag on Luis Fabiano.

Vince Masiello, Goal.com

This is good news. I have always been wondering why we couldn't have gone for lesser known South American stars instead of these over rated European based strikers. Remeber, that is where Kaka and Pato came from..... (p.s I am not just saying this now,I have mentioned it before in my posts)

Also like to say good luck to Pato and congrats for the young man. As well as this, I would also like to congragulate Australia's Socceroos for reaching 16 th place on Fifa's World Rankings. For a country where soccer is not even the main sport, this is a mighty acheivment.

Both Ambro and Leo words are great. As it showed they actually know the problems with Milan the past few seasons and want to improve on them. Funny thing is, I am sure others know that too and yet Carlo did nothing about it. Not going to be a Carlo supporters now, but could it just be that the players, Seedorf, Kaladze and others just can't get the job done like they used to anymore?

Hernanes is great but I share the view of mrki, having Hernanes means selling Pirlo. Even though Hernanes seems to be a better player than Pirlo at the moment, it is still not a big step forward. But I guess it is much better than not moving or going backward.

As for Miranda, another CB, so either is Nesta just can't be 100% or they are starting to doubt T. Silva. Either way, I think it is great that they are getting insurance in the CB instead of hoping it is fine.

If you read the above article, you would have seen that Hernanes will cost us roughly 40 million euros! 40 million, and we htought players' prices were inflated.

Well those are facts you know. 26 titles in 23 years.

Galliani denies AC Milan season ticket sales crisis
07.07.09 | tribalfootball.com
AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has rubbished reports of a fans crisis over the lack of season ticket sales.

"I've read strange things that we would have 800 season tickets sales for the stadium," said Galliani. "The figure today is 6724 subscribers, which is against 8493 for the same period last year.

"80 percent of the fans are in agreement with the club. We hope to be able to recover the atmosphere with the supporters.

"This climate changed before Milan-Liverpool, before Athens. The team has a need for its public . The fans have always been extraordinary. The club is doing exactly what we did in the previous 23 years, certainly with a more careful eye to the budget.

"It seems to me that others are not going in this direction."

Well isn't that sweet Galliani. Perhaps you bought the tickets yourself? Does going by budget mean not buying anyone? Surely not Uncle Fester!

In past years when you had the cash, you wasted it on ageing players, where their original clubs tricked you into buying them for an extremely inflated price. Now, they are useless, having lasted maybe a season or two. So don't complain about not having the cash. Perhaps if you invested it wisely before, the trouble would not be here now!
