That's one player, and we got lucky with the outcome. If we need proven players with experience and quality then we have to spend big, and considering our name, other clubs will put up the price, and other clubs with no scouting systems ie Inert will try to rob the players.

yeah, kaka was a rare oppertunity. Plus add to the fact, we did not need him at the time, we were able to afford to push a low deal because we were not desperate.

we are desperarte now, for everything. We've backed ourselves into this situation and it will only get worse. Every team in europe knows we will need defenders next year, billy, cafu and maldini will probably retire, they can shaft us on the prices.

Zambrotta says he had a deal with Milan and wanted to go to Milan but Juve betrayed him and sold him to Barca. He didnt play for Barca in supercup, so we can still buy him........can we?

wish we would, but A barca woudlnt want to sell him, and B there might be a clause in his contract would not allow him to be resold to a Italian club

Time is the essence here, but it's up to Zambrotta to explain this situation to Barcelona, contact us and then Milan has to pay his price. A very unlikely situation to happen in so little time. In january however... you never know.

This made me even more angry against Juventus management, they sell their players to Inter and those that want to come to Milan they ship them off abroad, the bastards.

It would be even more difficult to get Alves now, they are now European Champions. But I am all for it; or Miguel, either one of them beats Oddo.

As for Zambrotta, I don't think he is coming. Those who dreams of him confronting Barcelona for a trade right back to Milan could stop dreaming. Truth is, if he was so adamant, he wouldn't have to go to Barcelona in the first place. We all know that.

Maybe next year? He still won't be free, but he will be 30. Right fits our criteria. Jokes aside, I think the most important thing is we ought to win to attract players. They all know that we are a power house, but if you don't win, it could be a problem. If you don't win for say, 17 years, you become Inter.

Maresca is still Juventus player i think. I know he was on loan but i don't remember if they sold him to Sevilla. I think they didn't sell him.
If that is the case, then i doubt Juve will sell him to us.

I think Maresca was sold. He was loaned to Fiorentina and played fantastically, but he was still sold abroad, so I don't think Juventus still owns him. I might still be wrong, but I can try to dig up some archives.

I am very sure he was sold not loaned. Capello hate him even though he played well whenever he get the chance so he was shipped off. Another case of Capello being a Basta*d.

Good point, that's what is happening, indeed. Our rivals knows that we need to reshape our retaguard, and obviously they're not keen to allow that.

if we snap oddo this year, we only need one more defender next year. there is nothing to worry about. for 2007-2008: LB- jankulovski,kaladze, CB: nesta,kaladze,bonera RB: oddo, cafu ( maybe?). ok, maybe 2 of them

well Oddo and Gallas/barzagli this season, and next season zambrotta... well i can dream!
