true but you know, it's not just those who give, it's also those who take. I doubt Pairetto just called Inter out of the blue as a sign of good will. Somebody from Inter must have expressed interest in that "information" in the first place.
Anyway, until now Inter could breathe easily as their name wasn't mentioned at all in the scandal. But now they should at least consider themsleves as equally invloved as Milan (the Meani call) ... whether that would be seen as a serious offense or no offense at all, I guess we'll have to wai for a little while.

My sentiments exactly...actually Inter could be in even more trouble because it was their president who was involved. To me the Milan and Inter calls are similar...

Moggi's words smack of a man who knows he is going down but not without attempting to stain reputations. I don't think anyone in football is a saint but Moggi is really reaching here.

One of the first things a guilty party does is say that there is a more intricate system propping things up. May be true but unfortunately for Moggi this will seem more of desperation than anything.

In Italian publications he said many clubs have been doing what he has...he reserved special attention for Inter and us.

Moggi Slams Milan Chief.

Quote:
Source Gazzetta Football Italia.
Former Juventus director general Luciano Moggi has launched a bitter attack on Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani.

Moggi is the man who is at the centre of the match-fixing scandal currently engulfing Italian football, after authorities were handed conversations that were recorded after his phone was tapped. However, he feels that Galliani, who is also Lega Calcio chief, had an important to part to play in his downfall.

"I was ambushed," he stated. "It all started last September when I went to see Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi at Palazzo Grazioli. He offered me a job at Milan. I was surprised but also honoured, and I told him that I would think about it. We were only at the start of the season and at that time I could only think about Juventus.

But we all know what the Milan owner is like, it doesn't take too much for him to get excited. He obviously told Galliani of the idea. Then, two weeks after my meeting with Berlusconi, the FIGC were sent the documents from the Turin magistrates with the taped telephone conversations between myself and other figures in the Italian game.

"Franco Carraro then informed Galliani, who obviously suggested to the ex-Prime Minister to be careful before he made any decisions, saying that it was perhaps best to forget about me because of the enquiry. It all began with that unfortunate meeting with Berlusconi."
When will all this end

Wait, so it's Berlusconi's fault that he was talking about referees over the phone? Absolutely ridiculous.

He's clearly desperate, and a desperate man can be very dangerous, I hope he can't do Milan any harm.

Great remark.
Now he can even start telling lies. Maybe they won't pass in court, but it will be enough to make us look like cheaters in the eyes of the others. That's what scaries me more than some taking points or stuf.

True true.....but with the amount of lies flying around now and finger pointing unless there is sufficent evidence to back it up it will all last for about 5 mins in the press until something else...something more sensational comes along the next day....

Funny though how Moggi tries to say he was ambushed......aren't people who are ambushed usually caught in the act of doing something.....thus it sounds like he is incriminating himself........

...also....although he dares call galliani , he does not say that milan is guilty in any way....merely saying he got taken by great suprise.

Agree it looks like desperation.

I think this thread needs merging with the main one

Ok, ok, so what else is new? What other revalations have there been? Any more bombshells?

I, as do many here, think that Juve will be relegated, if not this season, then next..but really, what has been in the Italian press about this possibility.

I read with intrest that Buffon is on his way to Milan...is this the first example of the "rats" jumping off a sinking ship? (Not that Buffon is a rat...well..not exactly...psyche..he is an excellent goalie, and one I would welcome to Milan)

On the mark, Buddy, you pointed out what's also my biggest concern regarding all that crisis: the potential damage for Milan's public image.
