He did well. Milan was not going through a partiuclar good period at that time but his goal surely killed the game.

Guys and gals we are Athens bound. This team has something special. Amidst all the glory to Seedorf, Kaka, Rino, the one player that stood out for me was Massimmo Ambrosini. What a grande performance.

Before I get on to us, I want to give my regards to Man U, who never gave up. They made the tie special with entertaining play and were a credit to the football world.

Tonight was absoloutly genius!!! This was easily our BEST performance of the season and played to near PERFECTION! We weren't just good, we were unbelievable, and to say I'm proud would be the greatest understatement! At the end, I was near tears, which is very, VERY rare for me. FIRST for praise have to be the fans! This year we've not always been the greatest of fans, but for this match, prior, during and post match we can be proud of the support we gave. No one, and I mean NO ONE can say that the fans weren't something special.

First half was superb, simply brilliant from the team. We not only pressed back United into their own half (argubly the best team in football this season), but we couldn't have dominated them more. Chance after chance, with two simply superb goals from Kaka and Seedorf. We dropped off the pressure at the right times, pressing United as they would try to attack us. At the end of the half, United had only one good chance, well saved by Dida.

Tactically the second half was very important. There was no chance in hell that we could keep up the pace of the first half, so we dropped back and pressed United. We played a superb counter game to United's waves of attacks!! A few sloppy passes were made, but there was very little threat posed from United overall, and we are the reason, not them playing poorly. We gave nothing to them, physically dominated the game and pressed them brilliantly. At the time United were forced to push with everything they had, we played it the Italian way and pressed in our final third of the pitch. Do NOT make the mistake in thinking we were pushed back, we tactically dropped back to allow United no room to play. You want to know how brilliant this was by us? United's attacking players often had 3 players hacking away at them when they posed any kind of threat, and 90% of the time we came away on the counter with no problems!

Player rundown:

Dida - The opposite of last week. Only had one real save to make, but he was always comfortable, and was very confident in his decision making.
Nesta - A wall, simply a wall
Kaladze - The other half of the wall, his CL experience was massive
Oddo - Excellent, defensively no mistakes at all and never let Heinze forward.
Janku - I've been pretty harsh on him this season, and he's almost never performed in the big games, but in both legs I couldn't ask for more.
Ambro - A rock, whilst Gattuso was a rabid rottweiler tonight, Ambro was huge for our midfield and provided incredible stability
Pirlo - A massive game from him. A few sloppy passes in the second half, but there's no doubt how important he was for our attacking moves today.
Rino - A MONSTER! This man is a lunatic, there's nothing more to say. He pours his heart into our matches and today was amongst his greatest performances EVER in what can only be described as an amazing career. I remember seeing him when he first joined us, NEVER did I think I'd see the day where I'd be calling him one of the greatest bal winners in history. He almost went too far at the end with Scholes, and Carlo was smart to take him off. He was symbolic of everything in our performance today!
Seedorf - Another massive game. I forgive him for everything bad he's done this season! Keep it up for 1 more game Clarence!!!!
Kaka - I have nothing more to say than he is our Golden Boy. He has been huge for us this year, dragging the side out of the dirt and taking us to the CL final. HE IS NOW A LEADER IN OUR SIDE!
Pippo - Probably the least active of all the players, but he didn't have a bad game and was a handful for the United defence. He almost scored a couple of times too.
Cafu - Not much to note. VERY important he came on as Rino would have probably got himself sent off otherwise
Gila - The boy came big in this match. Great sub by Carlo, not only scoring a great goal (though Man U defence went to sleep), but he held the ball up front which was a necessity at that point.

I want to save the final praise for Carlo! The man has his critics but in this half of the season I don't think anyone can say he's done badly. He has been brilliant, to the point of playing games tactically without flaw. He as much as anyone deserves credit!

Tonight Milan Were Fantastic Because They Won 3-0 Vs Man Utd. Now They Will Face Liverpool On The 23rd May In Athens. Gattuso, Pirlo Etc. Were All Great Tonight. Inzaghi Helped A Lot As Well. I Hope Milan Will Win This Years Champions League Final And I Hope That They Do Not Lose Like They Did In 2005.

Nothing special: "He is happy that he will come in Greece, he will see Rivaldo and they have to face a great team like Liverpool". The players generally belive that they are better than Liverpool but they don't forget the final at 2003 but they want to repeat what theam made in 1994 against Barca.

Who has given Liverpool the favourites tag? I just watched the BBC report and the guy reporting was full of praise for Milan and showed no bias at all to the English teams ... saying something along the lines of Liverpool will have to play the game of their lives to beat this incredible Milan team.

Not a Big A.C Milan fan infact now i Absolutely hate them after tonight it's back to Serie A and Juventus! I just heard that Liverpool are going in as favorites. No particular reason in picking you out. Just sheer bliss. What I should have wrote, Milanmania we are going to Athens

My 3-1 prediction isn't too far off except we didn't even give them a goal to make the game exciting.

It doesn't really matter. Milan was almost the least favorite (just above PSV) before against Bayern, and they were the least favorite among the four teams in semi.

Well, betting companies are going to lose quite a bit if Milan wins in the final.
