guys, maybe your reaction is a bit too fast as channel4 is always a little behind on current matters.
I believe this is old news and refers to the result of just the first meeting between the two clubs. The words Galliani was quoted for saying are the same ones he said after the first meeting yesterday (wednesday).
Other reports say that today (thursday) at 10.00 CET there will be a second meeting between the two, and chances are the results of this one haven't made it to the press yet, let alone channel4

Plus, do you really believe that Milan, the club that reintroduced Crespo to football and didn't see a problem to hire a 32 yo player like Vieri, would skip on Italy's biggest talent for the past 10 years, at the age of 23-24, just because he has a temporary problem with his weight? And add to that his price of 5 mil euros.

I know there will be many in this thread who will disagree because they'd rather see Milan sign a one-legged dwarf from a carnival sideshow than Ronaldo, but personally I would much rather pay £13 million for Ronaldo than £7 million plus Borriello for Iaquinta. But maybe that's just me.....

That said, I really think everyone should....

A. Calm down.

B. Be patient and wait to see who Milan actually signs (not just one player, but all the signings this transfer period).

C. Wait and see how those signings actually play for Milan before proclaiming it the end of Western Civilization and the coming of the Apocalypse. After all, these men who some of you think are village idiots have brought us four European titles since they've been in charge of the club. So -- as much as you might like to believe otherwise -- Berlusconi and Galliani do know a helluva lot more about running a football club than you do.

I have never said that these players can replace the players you mentioned and fix our aging defence, that is something you made up. I was just saying that it's not true that we're not signing talented young players.

Foxsports saying that the deal didnt go through Real MAdrid wants more money or Kaka in the deal.

Yes Tevez has an attitude, but i doubt that Corinthians is the best place for him or the most serene club. I'm sure some of their other players have played their part in winding him up, although this doesn't excuse his behaviour.

I also think it's easier to start afresh if you move to another country rather than stay in the same country but move to another club.

Even if Tevez didn't work out here, we'd still be able to get our money back on him.

tevez`s behavoiur cant be defended but unlike ronlado, he has youth on his side and can change where as ronaldo i feel cant.

I agree he is young and extremely talanted but this is not enough ... trohies and titles are won by a team, not seperate players. A team must be based on the maxima "one-for-all-and-all-for-one", if you don't have harmony among the palyers, you are doomed even if you have a rich array of extremely talanted players. Inter is a perfect example for that, so is Real from the past 3 years or so. Look at their squads on a strictly player-to-player basis, they are simply brimming with individual talant, but what's the end result of all that? One big zero and by that I don't mean not winning a trophy but not being even close to getting one.
And it is this bond within the team that milan risked by getting Cassano. Not much difference in Tevez' case now ... actually, it's even worse cause cassano was available for 5 mil, while 30 mil may not be enough for Tevez.
Don't get me wrong, I am not arguing Tevez' INDIVIDUAL talants, I am questioning his ability to become part of a team-of-one formation, which is what we have at Milan. And his whole resume speaks in support of this concern of mine.

I doubt that very much. No big club would be willing to pay more than half of what we would should he turn out to be an outcast at Milan. In fact, I doubt very much that most, if any at all, big clubs would be even willing to take him ... what would they say: "The guy messed up at Corinthians, he messed up at Milan too, a club that's like the example for professionalism put to work and is famous for the harmony within its team" ... dou you really see real, Barca, ManU, Bayern go after him if that were to happen? The only team who would ask him back is most probably Boca and maybe River Plate too just to make Boca fans furious.


EDIT: Just to clarify something - I speak of no BIG clubs being willing to get Tevez namely because they are the ones who could afford pauing 30 mil or so for one player.
