Pizzonia should've become first choice, I think. The capability, the impressive display he had been showed must given him credit to fill in the seat.

Schumi gets grid penalty
Saturday October 23 2004

Michael Schumacher will lose ten grid places due to an engine change after he crashed his Ferrari in Saturday's second practice round.

The seven times World Champion lost control of his car on the bumpy track, turning into the fast Ferradura corner, just three minutes before the end of the final practice session.

He slammed backwards into the tyre barriers, the F2004 sustaining severe rear-end damage and bursting into flames around the engine bay. Schumi escaped unhurt.

However, his chances of winning the season finale at Brazil were hurt by his grid penalty.

I'm at a loss for words...

Yes. His contract with BAR is deemed valid by CRB, which means he'll be staying with BAR in 2005. He'll most likely be joining Williams in 2006.

IMO, BAR has a very good package this year, and may improve on their performances next year.

Overheard this at work yesterday: "If baseball's Evil Empire can be beaten, then maybe F1's can too"
Well, I'll be absolutely delighted if that happens, but we'll have to wait till next year to see it.

WTF!!! I've missed the qualifying session... It was broadcasted LIVE but I stupidly watch the Atalanta-Cagliari game.

I'll be back with the grid. Rubens grab the pole..

Haha.. you keep dreaming, Lorenzo..
Rubens is searching for his first finish at Interlagos since 1994.
the curse will live on and he'll get another DNF in 10 successive years in front of his own crowd.
...likely due to a silly crash with JPM in the 1st corner.

seems like Ferrari will work on the race set-up for Schummi's car tonight and start from the pit tomorrow.
with only 18th on the grid, that option sounds good.

Brazilian GP - Race Result

Quite extra-ordinary race in the early laps. the track was so slippery (as Schumi spun yet again ) and most drivers did their earlier pitstop to change tires.
Great job by Montoya, he overtook Raikkonen just few momment after 1st pitstop then maintain his lead to the finish.
may I consider this as "McLaren's one-two"?

Race Result:
1. Juan Pablo Montoya / Colombia / Williams-BMW
2. Kimi Raikkonen / Finland / McLaren-Mercedes
3. Rubens Barrichello / Brazil / Ferrari
4. Fernando Alonso / Spain / Renault
5. Ralf Schumacher / Germany / Williams-BMW
6. Takuma Sato / Japan / BAR-Honda
7. Michael Schumacher / Germany / Ferrari
8. Felipe Massa / Brazil / Sauber-Petronas

9. Giancarlo Fisichella / Italy / Sauber-Petronas
10. Jacques Villeneuve / Canada / Renault
11. David Coulthard / Great Britain / McLaren-Mercedes
12. Jarno Trulli / Italy / Toyota
13. Ricardo Zonta / Brazil / Toyota
14. Christian Klien / Austria / Jaguar-Cosworth
15. Timo Glock / Germany / Jordan-Ford
16. Zsolt Baumgartner / Hungary / Minardi-Cosworth
17. Gianmaria Bruni / Italy / Minardi-Cosworth

DNF Mark Webber / Australia / Jaguar-Cosworth
DNF Nick Heidfeld / Italy / Jordan-Ford
DNF Jenson Button / Great Britain / BAR-Honda

Fastest lap:

Mexico will have it's f1 track.
In Cancuno city Hermann Tilke will start new track ... and in 2006 Octubre it will be over

The main simbol in this track will be ''M" letter due to Mexico.

The last GP in Mexico was held in 1992.

Forza Schumi
