wed dec 6 1978 man city 3-0 milan 38,026 we drew 2-2 the first leg in milan

the diffrence beetween city and milan at the moment is we have a rich arab owner with unlimited funds and you're owners are going to sell you're prize asset to us for around108,000 000 English pounds

mcfcok, just want to let you know that there is a difference between friendly banter and rudeness, insults or trouble making. If you are here for the former then welcome.

just a few quotes doing the rounds from english newspapers

Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi has appeared to clear the way for Kaka's transfer to City by saying it would be difficult for him to say no to the money being offered. (Independent)

And a top AC Milan official has declared Kaka's world record move to Manchester City as "signed and sealed". (Sunday Express)

Milan will use £40m of the £103m they expect to receive from City for Kaka to sign Arsenal pair Emmanuel Adebayor and Gael Clichy.

the top 4 clubs in England have spent big but not THAT big, and only Man U have been really successful for the past couple of years. And they have a baseline to build, not from ground zero.

The deal makes no sense from Man City perspective: 1 player really don't make up the team and how can Man city guarantees that they can acquire all the players that they want? Oh well, of course, if Man City splashes $100M on every player it purchases then of course (then you'll have to have a coach who knows how to put them together + play well together; we have seen how Real struggled), but that's unlikely.

If Kaka` were to move, I won't blame him; I don't htink it's the money but it's more about his agent / father /Milan who may have engineered the move.

The verdict is already in before he moves: City won't succeed by just buying Kaka`, won't be considered as big team until they make it to the Champion League top 8, and it will take them lots of time / year to get all the players they want.

***

Pragmatically:
Milan should accept the offer because it helps the team.
Kaka` will reject the offer, and Milan will have no problem for that.
Milan will have Kaka`.

Kaka` can keep rejecting other teams and only accept deals from Milan and this circus is just one fabricated by the media.

***

The only thing I worry about is Kaka`'s father / agent: I won't be surprised if they move for $$$ and use all sort of reasonining to tempt Kaka` away; maybe that's not what Kaka` wants but hey Kaka` is a nice kid. (I guess that's why Pato says, "you have to make your own decision").

bLOND !-,-! is an unknown quantity at this point
Dinamo Zagreb is better than Man city, so we shouldn't even bother to SPEAK with that city fan, if he isn't polite !
