Well, but certainly the board will never think about him, indeed.

And they shouldn't. Reyes is more of a winger, so unless Milan changes the way it plays, he's not a very good fit. Not a good enough goalscorer to play in the Shevchenko role.

Also, why would we go for a player who says he wants to return to Spain ?

He'd more than likely be just as unhappy at Milan as he is at Arsenal.

Dear everyone,

The administrative team has improved the barring system in order to make MM a more friendly place to visit.

We strongly advise you to click the following link to read our updated rules and systems (it won't take even more than a minute to finish reading them).

What pity!!!
Every days since 2 weeks we read that Milan want another striker.... ANd finally no one. Brocchi, Favali, KAlac, Coppola, Gourcuff, that's great mercato!!!
So I decide to stop to read the papers beetwen 2 days and to descover to acmilan.com the team for the next season...I hope Buffon , Torres or Ronaldo or Tevez or even Oliveira or Trezeguet, GAllas and/or Chivu.

A striker would be nice, but if one does not arrive now, it will not ruin the season. If Milan play a 4-5-1 formation, rotating Gilardino and Inzaghi should be enough. In January they can bring in a striker if it is required.

I think bringing in Oddo or Gallas before the transfer window on Aug 31st is where Milan should be concentrating.

BTW guys I just checked UEFA, and it says the deadline to sign players is 1st of September at 00:00, not at 23:59. That means we will have today (29th), tomorrow (30th), and day after (31st) to sign players. We will not be able to sign players on 1st of September.

I also read something today that quoted Gallas saying he will stay at Chelsea for the next season and doesnt mind rotting on the bench. Did Milan ever sign 2 players from different clubs at the same day? Do you guys think we will be getting more than a player (if any at all) in the next 2 days?

Roma have bought Vucinic for 3 million Euros ! Now obviously at Roma he's probably going to get a bit more first team football now that they don't Mido. But he could have been an ideal solution until January if we couldn't bring in anyone now.

there is a PDF doc with all UEFA regulations, updated each season, and in there, under "Player Eligibility", there's a section called "Deadlines", where it says:
"sept 1st, 2006 (24.00 hous CET)" i.e. sept 1st is included in thetransfer period.
Here is a link to that page:
http://www.milanmania.com/forums/sho...815#post382815

and the PDF file itself:
http://www.uefa.com/newsfiles/19071.pdf

What I believe puts a more restrictive deadline is the one set by the FIGC for Serie A transfers - 31st of August - and this one seems to have remained as set originally, despite the start of the Serie A having been delayed until Sept 10th.

I believe this is not his price but only what it would cost Roma to get him on loan for a season. this is not a definitive sale but just a temporary loan with the right for Roma to buy out - some sources say HALF, others ALL of - Vucinic's rights at the end of the loan.

Ancelotti's comments on the AC Milan website (Italian) include very nice words about Kaka, also mentioning again that he will never leave Milan.

Kaka's name mentioned with Maldini, Gattuso, and Pirlo as a symbol of Milan carries so much weight as he's non-Italian. These are pleasant words from Ancelotti on Kaka's loyalty to Milan and it does feel nice to hear it once again.

And this gives us also the assurance that we'll always stick to family, even if it's Ronaldinho we're talking about!

Wether it's a loan, a 50-50 deal or a complete deal, they have secured him for a cheap price.

Could have been an interesting option.

that's true, but he is also a relatively uproven player and would also take up a non-EU spot. I believe that in the long run, it would be better for Milan to see how he develops in Roma and if he does strike it big, then go for him. True, he would be much more expensive but we would need proven players to keep the team competitive all the time ... growing talent is a good thing but it takes time to fully develop a player ... and you always risk to invest time and money in a youngster, who in the end would turn out to be a one-day wonder. From this aspect, I think we would be better off paying more for an already established Vucinic, rather get him now and end his career on the Milan bench.

Anyway, Roma seem to have bought him from Lecce as Vucinic ahs signed a 5-year deal with them .. not sure for how much though but they sold Cufre to Monaco to finance the transfer.
