If I remember correctly Maldini gave Cambiasso the assist and Dida gave him the goal
Ronaldo not renewed

It's when you look at only in the live game but if you look at the replay slowly and tried to look also the positions of Serginho and Cambiasso when Maldini was starting to jump (which means he already knew who would take the ball or who his target was) to head the ball, you will (hopefully) understand the diffrence between very great (legend) player like Maldini and a not-in-top-form Serginho.

i don't see Ronaldo's contract not being renewed as much of a surprise. Realistically we wouldn't have had him until close to the winter break anyway, so at the moment it's not much of a loss.

Doesn't mean we can't renew his contract later in the year, assuming he doesn't sign for someone else. Besides, right now i'd say the club have more important priorities.

First of all, they finished above Milan with a difference of 36pts and 21 pts respectively.
Second, they scored 4 goals to you in some 60 minutes and would have most probably destroyed you if it wasn't for Materazzi's red card (they were leading 4:1 before his red card).
Then in the next two matches vs Milan they were losing 0:1 and both times they managed to beat you in the end. That shows quality and character.

And finally, when Milan finally found their form for a short period of time and Inter lost it (due to some players injuries) at the same time, Milan managed to beat Inter.
Let me remind you that the match was a must win for a 4th place chasing Milan and it was almost meaningless for Inter (they thought that the scudetto is already won, even if they lose from Milan).

And you're using this match to prove that Inter weren't any better than Milan.

I mean, Juve won 12 pts from the 6 matches with Inter, Milan and Roma. They've beaten all 3 of them and didn't lose a single match.
If i use your logic then Juve were the best team of them all in serie A even though realistically the current Juve team is no match to Milan and Roma, not to mention Inter.

Milan haven't shown any character in serie A in last 2 seasons. Only in last season you were leading in matches with Roma, Inter and Juve and you managed to lose all 3 matches.
Inter didn't lose when they had the lead and they completely deserved the scudetti they won.
They were classes above Milan, however you look at it and one single win by Milan in their mutual matches can't change the fact that Inter were superior to your team.

Take this from someone who equally likes/dislikes both Inter and Milan.

If you can't even take what I said in its entireity I'm not going to respond to your post. Get real. This isn't a Milan vs Inter thread. This is a thread for the Summer Mercato. Inter is crap and always will be crap.

If we are talking Serie A, what can I say. Milan were just so bad in Serie A for the last 2 seasons! The peak performance of Milan (peak of bad performance ) in Serie A is this year. I hope this really can slap management face!

Well, it's serie A talk i'm afraid.
I didn't count the Euro cups appearances because , as you know, Inter won't be your rivals in Europe this year. It's only serie A and looking at the last 2 seasons it doesn't look good.

P.S: I like it how Giancarlo changes the subject when he's speachless.
Don't make me search for your posts Giancarlo. You clearly said that Inter aren't any better than Milan and you mentioned numerous times how the last mutual match perfectly shows that.

Speechless about what? If Inter was so much better where are their international trophies? Where are there CL trophies? Inter isn't better than Milan when it comes to the international level. Take what I said in context, and don't make up garbage. I do not like Inter and there is a clear rivalry here. But you demonstrate a clear lack of knowledge here. I think that Milan is getting stronger than Inter and will make a better run next season to contest for the Scudetto.

Don't you dare tell I'm speechless, when half of what you said is not even relevant to this thread, and simply putting "Inter-Milan" in my post is ridiculous, immature and childish.

I'll repeat : I didn't mention CL or international trophies because you and Inter will not play in the same competitions, outside Italy, this season.
I was compering the two teams in serie A because that's where you'll "fight" this season.

And post-Calciopoli Milan aren't the same force in Italy while Inter were the best Italian team from 2006-2008.

Will you say that this also isn't true and that Inter weren't a much better team in serie A than Milan ?

Are you dillusional? Ibra is hands down there best offensive player and creative player. you can dislike him, but it doesnt make him bad. I don't like drogba or chelsea for that matter. doesnt mean I dont think he's 1 of 5 best strikers in world currently. Theres reality, then theres little kid arguments.

It pains me to say it, inter spanked us. i hate it. but its the truth. the sooner milan admits it, the sooner they can make appropriate changes so it doesnt happen again!

Sinegar i disagree w/ you. First thing you learn as a defender is, NEVER CLEAR THE BALL UP THE MIDDLE. I learned this when i was 4? Yes didas save attempt resembled my little sisters u10 league games, but you cant deny maldini made a mistake. Guess what?! HES HUMAN! But i prefer to life in reality than some dreamworld. The truth is players get older and decline. Paolo is undoubtedly a legend and his contributions to milan are unparalleled. Also being able to play at a high level at 40 years of age is impressive as any athletic feat ive seen. But that doesnt mean he is the maldini of 10 years ago.

I recognize that Milan has to strengthen itself, and that's why I'm a vocal advocate for a strong forward, and a revamping of our team. Have you've seen what I've said the last few threads? Damn right I'm for the strengthening of Milan. We need to contest the Scudetto and prevent Inter from doing it again. I do not think neither Juventus or Roma are capable of that. I think we are. And without the CL distracting Milan, that'll be more possible.

It also must be said that in many games during the previous season Inter had many dubious penalty kick decisions go its way.

You need to stop misstating what I say.

Was. He was their best. I'll recognize that. But he had an injury. I don't like him. I never said he was horrible, but there are clearly better players than him.

Where? If you're talking about the overall Scudetto that is true. I'm glad Milan is reinforcing itself to contest the Scudetto. But the first game would have been 1-1 if it wasn't for Dida's major mistake. In the 2nd game, we did win.

You're insulting and clearly have no idea what you're talking about. Paolo still plays at a great level... and more than often he makes players ten years younger than him look bad.

people need to get this straight...
When we won champions league in 2007 it was 1 of the worst displayed to win..... our record was 7-3-3. Compare that to other teams who won champions league. Barcelona(in 2006) won 9 games and drew 4,... 0 losses... Manchester united (in 2008) won 10 drew 3 lost 0. If you want to break that down we took 24 points. Manchester united took 33 and barca 31.

Clearly we lucked out, we weren't the most dominant team. We won because kaka made some super human efforts at key moments. And the reason we crashed out this year is because, kaka is human and while he can beat a team by himself its silly to think he will every time

What do we need to get straight? That we were better than any other team? Yes we may have lost some, but we were a great team. You can't take overall results like that. You need to look at the end result because at the end of the damn day that is what matters.

It seems you do more bashing of Milan than fans of other teams. It wasn't luck. It was a fact that we won 2007 with skill.
