Milan’s summer market has not yet scored a top level signing, after losing Hernan Crespo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to rivals Nerazzurri.

sorry to break some hearts here but I think that this is yet another source coming out with news from ... yesterday. A lot of site/papers are simply reiterrating yesterday's news today and this only adds to the confusion, I believe. Today, there is supposed to be a second meeting between Real and Milan officials at 10.00 am CET ... which means the meeting should have finished by now ... but there doesn't seemto be any news on the results from that second meeting - websites so far are just changing the titles of their articles but once you open the article, you realise there is nothing new in there.
My guees is the first to report the latest news would be one of www.calciomercato.com or www.gazzetta.it/calcio ... so, I would be on the look out for one of them or better yet both

7 days left to transfer deadline. So can we say Galliani and Braida's trip to Madrid/Brazil were both absolutely useless? They will really need to be making a few good buys to satisfy their fans.

I hope so. It's like they start off on a 5yr trend making brilliant acquisitions, and then come retarded on the 5th yr which lasts up to 3yrs of heartbreak. Anyone notice this? I'm a little etchy on the trend but seems about right. Dont you think?

This is what happens throughout the summer, yet some people are convinced that they display new news.

I don't quite see the point of a second meeting. If they're unwilling to lower their price and are insistant on wanting Kaka, then why are we still wasting time negotiating ??

To be hoenst, I donm't think it'll ever be so messed up if:

1) Sheva chooses to leave, NOW, when his team is sort of in trouble.

2) Scandel.

WIthout the scandel, there is NO NEED to play the CL qualifying, and there is no need for other players to wait to see if we qualify for CL etc etc etc...

too many things happen; and if you ask me which of these 2 are more disturbing; I'll say the 2nd one.

True, that's indeed what has been going on for most of the summer but you know, how we fans are - a bit like fish in a pond

The first meeting reportedly lasted for like 40 min, so I guess it's difficult to adjust ones tactics and goals in the middle of negotiations, especially when the initial diff. between demand and offer is kind of big. And that's the whole point of the negotiations - adjustment and change, if everything was strictly set beforehand, a phone call would be anough to see what the result of Milan's inquiry would be.

I'd hope that somewhere else other Milan representatives are working on striking up relations with other possible targets, rather than doing nothing.
