ACMILAN1983 will become famous soon enough
I think three aspects of our game must be improved at the moment.

1) The full backs need to work on positioning in defensive areas. Clearly, Cafu leaves holes behind him when running forward and Maldini is struggling to adjust to LB as he drifts into CB positions at times. However, I think these just need time.

2) Ball possession hasn't been as good as previous two seasons so far. This is mostly due to the midfield not being in full flow. I think this will be of importance.

3) Pressure game. Currently we sit back and invite our opponents a little more than we should. Imo I think we should aim to play a slightly more aggressive game to make life difficult for the opposition. I also think doing this will helo our midfield dominate matches better.

Against Inter, I especially hope to see the third problem rectified. If we place high pressure on the Inter midfield, we'll most likely stop the flow of their game. Also, Adriano and Vieri won't have the service they need to make an effect if this happends and we'll dominate the match.

Simply, the midfield is crucial in this match. People talk about Sheva v Adriano, but whichever team's midfield dominates has the best chance of winning the match.

Anyway, Lets get a win!

FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS - I'm gonna actually miss the match because I have Wing Chun class, but hopefully I'll come home to a great result!

Whats Wing Chun?

anyway really looking forward to the match now. its a bank holiday weekend in Ireland and my parents are going away for the day tomorrow so about six of my friends including a couple of man u fans, 1 arsenal fan are coming over. (I didnt tell any more because I dont want it to turn into a house party cause I could end up missing some of the match then) The plan is to bring beer watch man united versus arsenal first, play a bit of playstation 2 and then watch milan beat inter. Then probably drink a few more cans and on to a nightclub or maybe a pub first but more than likely straight on to a nightclub. it should be a cheap enough night as we wont have to buy much drink in the club as we will have been drinking all day.

I hope man u vs arsenal is adequate pre match entertainment for milan inter.

Gio, I think we need that kinda martial art to fight against such rough players like Materazzi, Mihajlovic, Cordoba etc.

You mean, the fans of a failure team making fun of a team which won the everything except the Intercontinental CUp in two years?

Ask them that, and see how they respond

it will be a great match no doubt, Inter in the past especially under Cuper packed the midfield with ball winners like C.Zanetti and Di Biagio etc but with the likes of Veron and Stankovic in there it will be a more attacking game. In my opinion I think Adriano is amazing but the hype surrounding him may just hurt his game, I hope I don't eat my own words but I dont expect him to tear us apart as many are predicitng. Sure he will have moments but I don't think he will prove to be our biggest threat. Milan have had the same basic teams, few changes here and there from the 02-03 season and know each others games very well. Inter are beginning to gel so its all promising to be special. Also someone pointed out, the Inter fan, said without Sheva we are nothing, just like we say they are nothing without Adriano, i think he has a point, unless we get another striker, Pippo, Crespo or whoever, back scoring, we are gonna struggle. Tipping Pippo to score though!!!

Agree, Mihajlovic is the most wonderful person I have seen breaking bones and spitting on the field. He definitely gets my vote for person of the year 2004.

Inter defense is not very impressive except the fact that they play like butchers. I watched the Inter-Valencia game and counted millions of bad fouls committed by Inter. I m feeling a little worried that Sheva or Kaka may get injured by the usual suspect Matrix f**ker. I hope they dont go all out to hurt our attackers.

Having said that, I was rather impressed with the display of their midfield and Adriano. Emre was more skillful than i thought. Stankovic is also a quality player that they have in their possession. Adriano worries me the most. He is strong, fast, skillful and can be extremely physical. But again, he will face the likes of Maldini, Nesta, Stam...so he will have to go against the Iron curtain.
Vieri doesnt seem to worry me a bit although he scored against valencia. He looked unfit and out of sorts at the moment.

IMO, they will play physical for ball possession. If we can deliver balls well from the mid to our attackers (Sheva, go you good thing!!!), I believe we will score. I hope Seedoft will be in top-form for this. He lost way too much ball possession against Barca.
