Poor United. Some really great matchups, altough I prefered us or Arsenal to beat up Real Madrid.

Well, I guess the CL quest for ManU is over, at least for this season. Some very intresting games:
Man U-Milan
Barca-Chelsea
Bayern-Arsenal
Real-Juve
I believe it has been a tough draw for Milan for only Bayern looked to be a stronger opponent among those we could have drawn. I am not refering to Real for they are hardly a force at this stage of the season although they could be back to their best for the CL games in 3 months or so. I doubt it though. Again, based on current form, we got one of the two strongest teams we could have been drawn with - Man U.
I am really glad that this happened for we have never witnessed a game between these two sides in recent times - Man U will be a bit of an enigmatic opposition for Milan but if we are to be CL champs we have to be able to beat every team no matter what.

with juve v real and barca v chelsea it means that 2 of the big favourites will go out in the is round, we will have an incredibly tough game agisnt man ure but i'm fairly confident we'll be able to deal with them.

inter have had the luck of the draw with porto whilst arsenal faca a not-as-good-as-they-were bayern, liverpool and leverkusen will meet up to decide who gets knocked out in the next round and the same can be said about psv v monaco and bremen v lyon

my preds,

juve to beat real
chelsea to beat barca
milan to beat man u(not at all sorry to all u man u supporters)
arsenal to beat bayern
lyon to beat werder
leverkusen to beat liverpool(sorry jamie)
inter to hammer porto
psv to beat monaco

After last year I don't like to predict the CL, but here I go anyway;
Juve (vs Real) - by 2 goals on aggregate
Barca (vs Chelski) - on away goal rule
Milan (vs ManUre) - by 1 goal
Arsenal (vs Bayern) - by 1 goal
Lyon (vs Bremen) - by 1 goal
Leverkusen (vs Liverpool) on away goal rule
Inter (vs Porto) - by two goals
Monaco (vs PSV) -by two goals

At the moment we are stronger then Man utd and I think that ther will be no problems for us, but you never can be 100%sure (just remember last season Deportivo-Milan ).
Juve,Inter,Werder,Chelsea, Bayer L., Monaco,Milan and Arsenal goes in next round...

Is it not almost impossible to get tickets? Otherwise I would consider it.

Must say, an interesting draw.

As for the matches...

real v juventus: Argubly the biggest (probably second) match of the round. Both are favourites and they should make for great entertainment. At the moment, Real are far from great, while Juve are still going strong this year (although they aren't too impressive of late). I think Juve will stifle Real's play to get through.

porto v inter: Porto are lucky to be here and Inter should beat them really. Adriano and co. will give the Porto defence nightmares really and Porto's biggest threat will probably be Benny. Knowing Inter, this will result in two draws, with the first leg being the higher scoring one

barcelona v chelsea: Probably the biggest match of the round. Both are massive contenders for the cup this year and I'm glad to see at least one will have to go out. Chelsea have the resiliance in the defence and a solid and sometimes spectacular side, whilst Barca have free flowing attackers and one of the best players in the world, but the defence is a little weak. If Chelsea can take advantage of Barca's weak elements, then they will go through. However, with Barca's strong posession play and ability to open up defences, I have a feeling the Blue's will be disappointed.

werder bremen v lyon: One of the smaller ties. I think Werder are a surprise this year and look to be a threat. Lyon are also reasonably tough opponents, which should make for a good match. For some reason, I have a feeling Lyon will just get through

liverpool v bayer levekusen: Again, two sides which are hard to predict. Liverpool rely far too heavily on Gerrard and if Leverkusen (who have improved a lot this year) can stop him, then they should get through.

psv v monaco: A good tie here as well. Both are good sides, but neither are likely to get the cup in the end. PSV have a fairly attacking style of play relying a lot on teamwork, while Monaco are similar. Difficult to predict, but Monaco are probably a little stronger

arsenal v bayern munich: Big tie here. Arsenal have had problems lately. The defence isn't looking good at all and the side in general seem to lack any sparkle that made them famous. Bayern aren't that good though really. Ballack will need to play huge parts to really stop Arsenal, but I can't see it happening tbh, Arsenal to get through

man u v milan: Finally, our tie, which is the third biggest! Well, many predicted this tie so it came as no surprise. There is absoloutly no reason why we shouldn't win. Man u this year are not that great, relying more on individual abilities of players and lacking great team play. However, we must be careful of the team and must especially prepare well defensively, as "King Chav", "Flappy legs" and the "Horse" can be a major threat. Our side is still not at best form (barring Fio match), but were clearly improving as the season goes on. We are better than Man U in every area of the field, so there is absoloutly no reason to fail. Milan to get through!

Let the games begin!

FORZA MILAN!!!!!!
