Here´´s what i think of the game:

Vieri did well in only 2 occasions all game. The goal he scored. And one cross he did at the end of the game.

Other than that, he had problems controlling the ball. There was a goal that any of our strikers would have scored if they were in that position, but only because Vieri did not want to use his right foot, and rather hold the ball and centre it for Ambro, we lost it. It was a Seedorf through pass for Vieri which he really should have scored, but due to his low confidence in his self, he decided to take it back and passed it quickly and strongly to Max in a very short distance, which caused him to lose the ball. He was very slow throughout the game too. 5/10.

Gilardino was almost invisible in the 2nd half. I can only remember him do one thing in the second half and it was to escape from his marker, control the ball on his chest, and have a good shot on goal. Gilardino had a good first half. I´d rate his performance as a 6.5/10.

Why can´t we play with Rui? No one seems to understand how good this player is. HE IS MAGNIFICENT. When he has the ball it is very hard for anyone to get the ball off him. His passes are perfect, his vision is amazing, his only prob is his stamina prolly. And im really happy that Rui has scored 2 goals already in 2 weeks! A good goal against Juve, and a beautiful goal yesterday. I´d give him a 8/10.

Nesta. Nothing to say, he did good. 6.5/10.

Stam? Very solid, he only played the 1st half but was good. 7.5/10

Costacurta unfortunately isn´t the player he is a year ago. He lacks a bit of speed and strength. 5/10

Gattuso had a better game than the one before, but still needs to learn how to pass the ball. He did have a beautiful long ball to Cafu, but thats the only good long-pass ive seen Gattuso do ever! I´ll take that as an improvement. But yet again, he did have terrible passes as usual. 6/10

Seedorf did kinda ok in that Trequartista role, but was invisible for long parts of the first half. 6.5/10

Cafu´s runs are just marvellous. He did have a good game. He caused Chelsea alot of problems. 7.5/10

Ele? NR. Fiori 7/10, he did well.

Kaladze wasnt very good, lacked strength and was bad on defence. 6/10

Pirlo had a better game. His free kick was nearly a perfect one if it was not saved. He played well. 7/10

Vogel? He played the entire second half but i dont remember him doing much. NR

Ambro had a good game. He nearly got himself sent off in a situation. 7/10

people are so harsh on milans players pre-season. nobody takes into consideration that
1) the players are NOT at peak match fitness - heck they are not even at season-start fitness
2) how many games have vieri played with his new teammates? you're acting like he knows our team inside out. He has yet to adjust. How many times has Vieri played with Gila as his strike partner in national and club level?

No Nadir, you dont need to play 10 years with a team to know how to control the ball. Gattuso is with the team for how long now? And yet he needs to learn how to pass. Your point is only useful if Vieri isn´t understanding the players, and not moving correctly or passing the wrong way. But Vieri´s mistakes weren´t that, his mistakes were that he couldn´t control the ball! He couldn´t run with it, and he passed directly to opponents a couple of times. You dont need to get used to ur teammates to learn how to control or pass.

It is true they are not yet at their best or even half way there. But those comments are just towards THAT game, and not towards the rest of the season. Im hoping that every1 improves and particular Vieri.

so what do you suggest that they do? Get rid of vieri because of some bad games pre-season? bring JDT back?

I also remember the same "problem" with Crespo last year.. People said he sucks, was not Milan material and so on... No, every member here loves him, and are so sad we did not get him...
Give Vieri a chance.. It is a simple as that!! Because he can be an important asset for us this year!

Well after what i've seen on eurosport today I can say this... Our goalkeepers did ok, but it doesnt matter becouse dida will be no.1.
kaladze- this man is getting worse every year, he could be tired but he just hasnt got the cross or dribling skills for attacking. this was very poor by kala. By putting jankulovsky on the LB we could add an extra dimension in our game.
stam- he did ok. Actually he was very good, did some great tackles and blocks. good job, lets hope he will fit better that last year
nesta- well...nesta is always nesta, so he was today.
cafu- he played great. I mean really great, its clear that he got tired aroung 65th min, but cafu is still excellent
pirlo- finnaly! pirlo played an extra match with his mostly precise passes ( he did miss few...), he created every single attack and that is the thing that worries me right now. Anyway, pirlo is back, bravo andrea!
gattuso- had ok game, did a LOT of running and his passing is poor as usual, no changes in rino's game
ambro- also, he did ok. Had few harsh tackles and did a lot of running, good old ambro
seedorf- he played kaka's position and didnt do well. Im really scared he lost his game for good, and he looks really heavy and slow on the ball. But it's still preparation time. Anyway, when he has the ball he cant dribble the way he used to, makelele destroied him! he NEEDS to open him self more often and create more.
rui- bravo rui!! At this moment there is no doubt in me, rui should get seedorfs position, only problem is his fitness and seedorf can do better defensive job that rui. His passes and possesion are BRILLIANT!
Costacurta- thanx billy, but its time to move on....
vieri- did well in positioning, but he lacks confidence and he can be REEEEally slow on shot and passes. He needs to use his right leg and shoot more. And his fitness is poore. But, he could be usefull in long season.
Gila- gila hasnt settled in yet but he will. You can see this man has some class like pippo did in younger age. His back-balls where good but vieri or seedorf just couldnt provide him. Anyway , with sheva and kaka gila will be good, you can bet on it! He has the idea, stamina and power.
vogel- nothing to say, he was too damn scared to play anything!

And... our problems are.... LB position, another inspired midfielder not just pirlo.... all in all, its ok!

Hi guys, must has been a good tour and a lot of new tactics has been used and the new players had their chances to play too.
About this game I saw a better and ready Milan that in 2 or 3 week time will get to their best and I am confident about it, it was good performance from Pirlo, Vieri, Cafu and Rui that really showed he is very ready this season and will see how Ancelotti will use him this time round.
I am not happy at all about Seedorf’s performance on this tour could say he was the worst of them all, he never looked like he had any fire or any motivation in him that’s when we saw a better movement from Rui even thou if u see rui is much older but he covers a lot of space while Seedorf is so lazy to move around this what really bugs me about him the rest have to cover up for him, we need a strong mid field player that can really take control over the Midfield.
About the rest Vigel had good game even thou I at times he looked lost but he is getting used to the team and knowing that he should always watch out when Cafu goes down the flanks he should keep his eye there.
Ambro had an OK game nothing special about it Gattsuo was a bit better then last game but he should be more controlling over his temper and be more of leader.
Felt sorry for Nesta when Costacurta come in he had to cover for both places, like the one said we need a CB and having a feeling one of the 2 will come but I have feeling more of young CB is coming the one from Villareal.
But in all was good game and the team played better and I noticed that the players were kind of tired to the end knowing it was played at 3pm and it was kind straining for the players later on.
In all it was good friendly match and back to serious training now.

Well spoken first of all he is a Rossenri Player, second of all he is The bomber Vieri and what i saw the last match he has played good but he still seems less on Fitness level, but i am glad he joined us and he will be a big factor during the season and in the CL

Well, I too saw the match, and here are my comments:

Vieri: had a poor game, but I think he will improve as time goes on. He will not start any games, based on these performances...he was slow, made too many missed passes, and couldnt dribble past a quadraplegic in a wheelchair. (But this is pre-season, so I wont be too harsh)

Gila needs more time to adjust to the team, but his positioning isnt bad, and I have no doubt he will start alongside Sheva, even if he disappeared for a while in this game.

Seedorf shouldnt start over Rui Costa at all, and definately not in the tequartista (if my spelling is off...sue me )role, he could come on to replace Rui, in a midfield of Kaka, Rui, Gattuso/Ambro and Pirlo.

Pirlo: What can I say about this genius? Simply that I thank the Good Lord he plays for Milan.

Rui Costa: This man is pure class...sheer brilliance for his equalising strike, and deserves a starting role, even if he has to be replaced 20 minutes into the 2nd half by Ambro or Gattuso...or even Seedorf.

Nesta: Strong and positionally astute as he normally is.

Stam: Not bad, actually, very good game from the Dutchman.

Thats all I can remember...I was pretty during the game, so I cant remember much of it now...except that all of Europe better sit up and pay attention, as if Milan can give Chelski a run for their money when not totally fit, and without key players...then Paris definately beckons..
