2-2, a decent result for us. Remember that Schalke is a good team, and that we were playing them away. I can happily accept a draw, no problem at all.

Not the end of the world but I am definitely worried that this defence is not Scudetto of CL worthy. We have great players back there but they seem to have lost a step or 2 from last year. I hope that I am wrong.

So much for an easy qualification.

The game's over, I guess. We have ourselves to blame for this draw - 2 costly errors from all our defenders for the first goal and Dida for the 2nd. Again lack of concentration in a couple of critical moments marred the whole game for us.
Anyway, we are still top of the group with 4 points - PSV lost to Fener with 3-0 and J v Hasselink got sent off so he will miss next game vs Milan.
We have some more work to do until we improve our concentration when we are on top of the opposition and I am sure this will come soon but the team - coach and players - really have to get onto it.
Forza Milaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan !!!!!!!

About Bo Larsson, the referee, it is better to draw a veil over him: he has allowed of everything to Povlsen and Rodriguez, both played very dirty on Kaką and Sheva.

2-2 away at Schalke isn't the end of the world - this was probably our most difficult fixture along with that in Istanbul for the whole qualification group - PSV aren't the team from last year, far from it indeed.
What leaves a bad taste isn't the draw but the fact that we allowed for the win to slip away due to errors from our own players in a game where we played well enough - in attack that is - for a comfortable win.

EDIT: anybody surprised by that 0-0 between Liverpool and Chelsea?

lol, not at all.

meanwhile, I'm increasingly aware of the fact that usually not the best team that won the CL. It's likely that those come close to the best, but not the best, will win.

See Liverpool, Porto, Monaco, and eventually, Milan? We HAVE TO admit that Milan was not the best a few years ago when we won.

So, this may nto be a bad thing after all lol.
