I believe diarra is between 22-25, in my opinion he is better than essien simply a beast in the midfield, wins every ball, can take an opponents best player out of the game. Very good in the air. He is also a very underrated offensive player, dribbles well, shoots very well and is a decent passer. Whoever gets this player will be getting a better version of patrick viera, bold statement but thats the type of talent he is. Lyon is producing some very good players.

Well, your eloquence has convinced me: let's pick Diarra!!! Can you imagine Diarra - Pirlo - Sneijder - Kaká? POWER OVERWHELMING!!!

Id take Seedorf over any midfielder in europe any day.

Diarra and Cris I believe are around 28-29..

actually not even that - he's 24 right now and later this year would be 25. He is a great player, though, and a very, very underrated one at that with JP and Essien stealing all the headlines at Lyon, well until half a year ago, while Diarra was the silent motor of the whole midfield working behind closed doors.
Problem is Lyon seem unwilling to sell but I am guessing they are just playing hard to get in order to milk us for as much as possible for Diarra. With the right sum at the table, and it won't a small one, I am sure they will make a "sacrifice" in the name of the player's better future

diarra is a good player but not great player in my opinion. anything more than 10m pounds is not worth it.

we are very lucky to have seedorf! he is the most underrated player in europe! why dont we buy maresca?

Yeah, and rumours are getting stronger and stronger as far as Cris goes. not sure how true that was, but a French paper, I think, even quoted the sum Milan has offered for him to Lyon - 20 mil euros.
I like Cris a lot but he is gonna be 29 by the end of this season, if not even as we speak, and to pay any amount above 10-12 mil for a 29-30 yo player is insane business in my book, especially when one has in mind that a player like Gallas could be available for free, Chelski are rumoured to value Alex at ~10 mil, and probably even Chivu could be purchased for less than 20 mil. I am not mentioning Lugano or Barzagli, both of whom would cost us below 7-8 mil each.

I think offering 20 million euros for Cris is absurd, maybe its the whole package of Cris and Diarra that is for 20 million.

If such a huge fee for Cris's transfer accurs i think its the stupidest piece of business.

20 million is more than crazy for a player who wont guarentee u to be a hit in serieA, infact hes not even a worldclass defender yet.. hes probably gonna be a bench player

id rather save those 20M and buy oddo alex ballack and gallas and still save some money

If we pay 20 mil for Cris, than someone in thjis club needs to be responsible for SUCH A STUIPD moove. Cris+Diarra on the other hand is a great deal for 20 mil.

Man I really dont want Cris as our main CB together with Nesta. Alex is m,uch bettre and younger player than him. Diarra is one of my personal wishes, but with a new coach and the way Pirlo is playing right now, he will be the fiest one to move to the bench.
