I saw with my own eyes how he said that he wanted Milan to strenghten if he was to stay, but that Berlusconi had promised him a stronger Milan then. In came Rui Costa and Inzaghi...

Not so much anymore, it was on the verge to fall...

It was Parma and they didn't sign him or Toldo, they had a agreement with Fiorentina, but the players in question didn't want to go there. so they went to clubs that they wanted to go to, but not exactly for pennies.

We expected Rui, most of us, Inzaghi was at the time a negative surprise... who in the end turned out to be a positive one.

He have already won things and have been on the verge of winning more. For sure if this team will get worse over a time period of 2+ seasons, then yes, we can expect him to want to leave.

Invest in future? He will leave if we are not comptetitive on the highest level, simple enough. although him leaving ain't exactly a packing his bags and bye bye issue.

When have long-term contract ever stoped anyone from leaving a club? If a player wants to leave nobody and nothing ll stop him...especially not long-term contract.

Nonsense. Many times have players wanted to leave and the clubs simply said "no". Whether a club want to keep a player who is dreaming about another place is another issue... but his opinion can change fast, next season he may not want it anymore. Had I been the one calling the shots then I would not sell Kaka for any reason below €100M and some player. Quite simply.

I think that if we miss out on 4th place, KAka' will leave for sure. That is why we need to regroup and buy some players in january so we can catch up and next year fire on all fronts! again!

With another article about Kaka's 'apparent' desire to join Madrid becoming stronger and stronger due to a 'lack of a great milan', our signings in January need to be big otherwise we can kiss our best player goodbye.

Unless Berlusconi digs deep and signs players that make a difference, Kaka will be wearing white next season and it won't be our away shirt.

It's also been said that Real have come up with a plan of paying 70 million euros for him at 10 million over the next 7 years. That's a joke and if we accepted anything like that kind of payment plan then the board can all leave with him.

I wouldn't be at all shocked to see us draw Real in the next round of the CL

with his current contract, I doubt there is much he or Real can do. At most he would play unhappy for a while but Milan won't let him go 'cause unlike Sheva, Kaka is nowhere near 30 yo. Contracts still count for something, you know.

Agreed..Also Berlu looks really determined to keep him here and we know he is not the man who accepts defeats easily..After Sheva left, Kaka loss would be too much for such a short period..

I am actually anticipating playing them...Carlo I am sure would relish getting one over on Capello...

That being said, if our present vein of form continues, I think even Messina will beat us on Saturday, as well as whomever we play in the knock out stage.

whoever we get in the next round, those games would be played in February and by then I am sure our fortunes would have turned upside down , we would have hopefully recovered some players like Sergio, Kakha, Dida, Gattuso and Nesta, as well as Pirlo, should be in better shape than they currently are after some special trainings. RO would/should be better suited to this team, as well.
Of course, some reinforcements in the winter won't hurt us either.
Even now, we are not playing bad and manage to control the game. What we lack is a cutting edge and more determination and concentration in our play. In time these things will be take care of ... or at least that's the plan .

it says on goal.com as well as the legal action milan will take out against madrid and the fact Kaka has to respect his contract Galliani has said he will have 'here is the man who kept Kaka at MIlan' engraved on his gravestone not a very happy thought but it souds like he meens Business with the whole issue

That's a good response after Calderon's comments.
