Here is some information on Brigate Rossonere taken from their official site and translated into my own words.
Brigate exhibited their first banner in Bologna-Milan of 19/10/1975. Every member that contributes to the group should give his time if he wants and no one is forced to give his time. The group auto finance itself through membership fees (3 euros only) and through the sale of material as scarps, caps, stickers, t-shirts etc. The aim of the group is to follow always and everywhere Milan and to support the team home and away, they follow the team to short distances as Brescia till Tokyo or the USA independently of the result or event, should it be a Champions cup final or a game in the serie B. The group Brigate follows Milan always at San Siro and in all the away games, serie A, European competitions and Italian cup. Brigate rossonere is a group that constantly need people that collabate with it. The aim of the group is not that to go to places at the San Siro or Milanello that are closed to normal people or reserved only for vips. Their goal is not that to enter dressing rooms and meeting the players. The goal of this group (practically all of them) is that to follow the team and that no one and nothing will stop this from happen, neither the distance, shortage of tickets, or bad relations with the home team. (e.g. Verona, Roma, etc) Brigate is not a group that used violence, intimidation, BUT EVERYONE KNOWS THAT THEY STOP IN FRONT OF NOTHING AND IF TROUBLE IS PREDICTED THEY HAVE THE FORCE AND WILL TO DEFEND THEMSELVES AND TO RESPOND.

Have had a look on the Brigate and FDL sites, not very clear if you can order merchandise from them, t-shirts etc.
Is this possible? |

I think it is not possible to buy fossa or brigate material through the internet. The official selling points are during their weekly reunions at their offices in Milan and before each Milan match (home and away) in their section.

Hey Guys,
I am a tifosi rosoneri living in the UK and trying desperatly to buy tickets for man utd v milan at old trafford. I have called every number I could find for ticket offices in Italy but no one speaks English and my Italian is very weak and I am NOT prepared to pay what ticket agencies are selling the tickets for here in the UK (upto £250 for 1 ticket!!!!!!). I was at Old trafford the last time we were there and at that time I bought the tickets from a few Italian lads who had bought the tickets with them from Milano (it was one of the best days of my life, I have the pictures and I will try to upload them on this forum to show you all). Please please please help. Anyone in Italy??? I can send you the money and you can buy me the tickets and send them to me. Grazie |

Got to say this is an informative and interesting thread
I have now been attending the games in the curva where I find it an enjoyable experience. When first going in it can be intimidating but it's far from it and I hope to buy a season ticket for the curva next season. Regarding the singing, I don't know many of the words to all the songs, but do know some. As a non Italian, I would say don't be shy, sing when you know the words and listen to the songs and you'll pick them up as you go along. For most of the games I've been standing behind the Gruppo Lucifero and I believe they are one of the smaller groups. In fact as far as the Ultra Scene is concerned the Italian influence is now spreading to the UK as well with several clubs (Aberdeen (my own home town team), Accrington Stanley, York City, Leeds, Newcastle to name but a few) now having small (for now) but positive and growing groups. To me my thoughts are that the Ultras want to show a passionate and colourful support of their team. I say long may it continue ![]() |

Italian influence is everywhere, also in the former Yugoslavia. Italy's ultras are ''founders'' of the modern ultras way of life. England's clubs maybe had first ultras, but they are organised only for fighing, there are no choreographies ...
Franco thanks for translation, But I already know enough about Fossa & Brigate. I just wanted your, or enybody's else opinion about the others. Thanks ![]()

Honestly guys and gals.... How can you not know all the songs? It's the easiest thing to do in the world. First of all they have it posted on the internet (thanks Ultras!) Secondly you can download and here the songs on mp3 or real player.
I live all the frickin way in Hawaii and when I went to Milan, I made d@mn sure I had tickets well before I got on the plane. This kind of thing cant be made on a whim. I dunno maybe it's just me, I gotta have a plan just to wipe my a$$. But seriously, I hope that anyone still trying to get tickets and accomodations to Milan are succesful. You might be able to get tickets from scalpers around the stadium grounds, but that's no gurantee either you getting a ticket or having a seat to your satisfaction. Best of luck. |

I find this Ultras discussion very interesting, but having been to many European games as well as English ones i find the Ultras stlye exciting but a bit limited. For instance when at an Ultras game most of the songs are controlled by the "bosses" however in England chants and songs can and do come from all people from all parts of the ground. There is more spontaneity but less organisation and songs tend to drift in and out. I think you should know that Olympique Lyonais in France have a very well organised and fanatical "ultras" section. Looking forward to being at the San Siro with United, then you'll enjoy some competition off the pitch too in the Casa del diablo! good luck

Giovanni, Franco, or Darko:
Could you tell me the story about I Furiosi of Cagliari and Balestini (sp?) I see this referenced everywhere and I think there's an entire book on the whole affair but don't know enough Italian to completely understand. Thanks Brian |

I just know the story in brief. It was a Cagliari-Milan (mid 90's), the Milan ultras stole a 'furiosi' banner (Furisosi is the name of one of Cagliari's ultra' groups). Then on their way back home, the Milan ultras' exhibited the stolen furiosi banner on the ship (cuz Cagliari is a city in Sardegna) and all this was shown on the main Italian tv stations and news.
This was a moment of glory for our ultras' and embaressment of the furiosi group. When such things happen i.e. a group looses his banner the ultras eithics state that that gruop should be dissolved, infact during this year Cagliari-Milan our ultras showed a banner to the Cagliari ultras 'Are you still Furiosi?' LOL LOL LOL

![]() http://www.fdl.it/image/foto/04-05/0...ari-milan2.jpg I know there is only the Sconvolts in Cagliari now. But I know Milan (BRN) and many other banners have been stolen and the groups are still around. |
