I don't care what Mrki thinks.

Then a good match against ManUtd and that was it.
Now watch him this year. Far from brilliant in defense, his crosses are funny, didn't make a single assist etc.
Because he's the only player in the squad who isn't performing?

He was pretty bad until March and then he was again very good. If you watched Barca last year you'll know that Zambro was among their best players at the end of La Liga.
So he was bad until March, a bit like Oddo then.

Quote:
This year he was a beast. Like i said few days ago, he played better than he did at Juve. Then the injury happened.
Zero goals and zero assists in a team that have conceded one goal less than we have.

Quote:
Oddo is limited at the right side.
And? There are a handful of right backs I would want at Milan instead of him, 30 year old Zambrotta isn't one of them.

Quote:
Zambrotta plays on both sides of the pitch, equally good.
He's 30.

Zambro has better crosses and he's much better defender than Oddo. He was and he still is.
In their last four seasons :

Oddo 126 games, 18 goals & 20 assists
Zambrotta 127 games, 4 goals & 13 assists

Their career stats in the top divisions :

Oddo 209 games, 29 goals & 28 assists
Zambrotta 304 games, 15 goals & 30 assists

Quote:
One bad season won't change that.
See above.

Afterall, wasn't Gila better than Ibra in 2005/06 ? Does it mean that he is now a better player than Ibra ?

Zambrotta was and still is a much better and complete player than Oddo !
Zambrotta is a few months younger. He isn't as good a crosser and doesn't score as many goals. He is better defensively but anyone who suggests that's why we should sign him is not only a complete fool but they're also stuck in the past. There are better, YOUNGER, full backs. The last thing I want to see at Milan is another Juve reject past his prime - like Emerson.

Yes, if you count the last match when he didn't even play

Who's talking about Zambrotta being the new RB in Milan.
I was making a comparisson between Oddo and Zambrotta

Excuse me, but this is really silly.
Oddo was playing for Lazio and mostly as a midfielder. He was taking the free-kicks and the penalties. If you wanna talk who's a better midfielder then i agree with you that it's Oddo. But we are talking about full backs here. Someone who offers equal quality in attack and defense. Since he stopped taking the free-kicks and the penalties in Milan, his stats are not so good anymore, are they ?
Oliveira is a better attacker than Nesta, but which one will you chose to play for your team.
If Oddo was so much better than Zambrotta in these last 4 years why did he wait until he was 30 to join a big club ? Why did it take so long for the experts, NT coaches etc to see how good this guy is ?
Why was Milan after Zambrotta the last summer and not after Oddo ?
Oddo went to Milan only because you failed to sign Zambrotta. If you bought Zambrotta then Oddo would have now been playing in Lazio.

That's different.
You're talking about who should Milan sign, i was talking about who was/is a better player between Oddo and Zambrotta.
And Zambrotta is everything but a Juve reject. The man would have probably finished his career in Juve if there wasn't for Calciopoli.

And if you want real stats :

Italian NT
Oddo , 31 yo -
32 app / 1 goal

Zambrotta , 30 yo
67 app / 2 goals

EUROPEAN Champs
Oddo , 31 yo
0 app / 0 goals

Zambrotta , 30 yo
7 app / 0 goals

World Cups
Oddo , 31 yo
1 app / 0 goals

Zambrotta , 30 yo
10 app / 1 goal

If we count the CL matches these two played the difference is huge.

Zambrotta is and will be a legend of Italian football, Oddo won't. That's a fact !

You can carry the horse to the water but you cant force him to drink...
The players have won all the major trophies possible...I think some of them are tired of winning...let some of them not wait till the knock out stage of the CL, like last year, to realise that they can play hard and win 7 matches to be champions. Yess...only seven games they played...R99 got us fourth place...
Last year i think they sat and watch Kaka fight Celtic for over 180 minutes to show them the light at the end of the tunnel...

Many people here think we should sign him. Just look through the posts.

Milan have been linked with Oddo for years but until January they were too cheap to do anything about it.

Probably and we probably wouldn't be Champions of Europe either.

LEGEND. Don't exaggerate, he's a poor man's Tassotti!
