Arsenal play an attacking open game at home, leaving considerable space behind the midfield. Toure-Gallas is a good partnership, but Flamini is not so great. I think we should use an attacking line-up in London, especially if Ronaldo is available. I don't think Arsenal could handle the movement and skill of Ka-Pa-Ro, whereas using only Pippo up front, Toure and Gallas should deal with him quite easily.

Ka-Pa-Ro would expose the midfield too much. Forget it. Carlo will play a wise match, esp in London, with the Christmas Tree upfront, and one lonely striker. I think this striker will be Pippo.

I think the tactic that will be applied for the match versus Arsenal will be sorta simular to the one that was used at Old Trafford that ended 3-2 for Man United.

KaPaRo will be exactly what Arsenal would want and I doubt Carlo shall take the risk.

On the other hand there's a chance Wenger could change the formation to 4-5-1 which leaves Ade up front on his own.

well, with gatusso out of the first leg, mb the second also, i'm afraid carlo would have to field emerson, i do believe brocchi is useless, but even so he is still considered as a better option than emerson, who i never witness doing much in games, at least brocchi is trying, anyway i think pato should be there, regardless of the pressure, we need someone quick next to kaka, to make a fuss up front, and if inzaghi is fit to play he should be there to use that fuss and kill them with his killer habbit, i do believe we can go though out of this from the experience factor, but we should not make mistakes, specially at london, because i believe they will be afraid of us more than we are afraid of them, but still any mistake could give them huge confidence that will kill us in spot.

Hoping for the best, FORZA MILAN.

Arsenal will also play 4-5-1, im sure. My only worry is that Emrson will be simplay too slow while Rino can catch ny Arsenal player and actually any player he wants... you know Rino

With Emerson, AMbro, Pirlo, Seedorf, inzaghi maybe we'll be to slow.

You know what I mean, if those players are on the pitch then on the defensive side Milan can't play both Rino and Ambro unless they drop Seedorf which is highly unlikely as he's immense, especially in Europe.

Any team that fails to contain the midfield will struggle no doubt.

Milan could play Kaparo with Ambro/Seedorf Pirlo Gattuso in San Siro especially if Milan needed to score to go through to the next round.

The biggest obstacle to see Kaparo against Arsenal is Ronaldo's fitness situation IMO.

I dont think so, Gila is not going to play that first leg. Carlo will never trust him with that.

I think the best ption is to play Brochi Pirlo Ambro.... I think brochi can compensate Rinhos absence boetter than Emerson, due to his speed and spirit,

Playing Ambro and Emerson against Cesc,Hleb and Rosicky is equal to suicide...

I would actually think that Emerson can take DM's role and push Pirlo up.

BUT, I don't think Carlo will like that idea either

I under to circumstance want Gilardino in this match. Imagine this:

We're down 2-0. There is 10 minutes to go of the match. Gilardino gets a 100% chance and wastes it.

I would be frustratated beyond recognizion that Inzaghi wasn't there in the lineup instead to score the goal that might mean getting into the quarterfinals where it really snows.

IMHO.

But think about it: Pato and Kaka both have 100% and they miss it in the first 80 minutes. Hey, it happened.

There is simply no reason to believe the myth that Gilardino misses 100% chance. As a matter of fact, Inzaghi missed these chances in the most horrible way too. I have no stats on who misses these '100%' chances, but I'm not sure if the argument against Gilardino that he always misses 100% chance is a valid one.

In fact, Pato has missed damn a lot of chances, but gosh he created most of them so you can't complain

What we can say about Gila's weakness is that he is not decisive in most games; he is slow; he can't dribble, but I still believe that he can score well.

And trust me: I support Gilardino not because he is handsome (as some people argue here), but because he has shown, both in Parma and in Milan, that he can score. (Don't get me started about why he is not considered a top scoring player in his first season at Milan. I have explained numerous time why he didn't get over 20 goals in his first season and score less than Shevchenko.)

Anyway, back to the topic... J

Dont want to argue Jeff, but there is no comparism between Pippo and Gila. Pipposcored some of the most decisive goals I've ever seen that someone scored for Milan. And not once but constantly. Somehow, when things get thight, Pippo comes in and scored, somehow...no one actually knows how

He misses also a lot, but Pippo is now 34, I have a feeling some of you have forgoten how Inzaghi played when he was 5 years youinger? he was 20 times better then Gila now! Faster, better ball control, better shot and was also in the right place just like he is now. I would puit my trust in Pippo against Arsenal is Ronaldo is not fit. If Roonia is fit for 60 min, play him at full tempo for one hour and then introduce Inzaghi, or both Pippo and PAto, as the result is suggesting. Pippo is the man for CL matches, somehow
