Nice to see Kaka playing this well, it certainlny has been a while since I seen him run with ease. Seedorf is doing well even though he has wasted a few balls. Pippo is doing well as usual but credit must be given to Kaka/Seedorf for the chances he's getting.

And why can't either of our fullbacks cross properly? They must be infected with the Oddo virus 'cause their crosses are horrible. Oh yeah and Janku proves more and more how he is not needed any more in the team. Wish we could do something about it.

I also hope Carlo grows some balls and sends in a striker or a more offensive player for Ambrosini. The way both teams are playing and how we are dominating the possession means we won't need that many people so far back. Give Sheva an entire half and R80 some minutes I say, and maybe Mattioni should be given a chance if we score again.

Update:

1st - Inter (77 points) +1
2nd - Milan (70 points) +1
3rd - Juventus (66 points) +1
4th - Fiorentina (61 points) +1
5th - Genoa (57 points)
6th - Roma (53 points) +1
7th - Palermo (52 points) +1
8th - Cagliari (49 points) +1

Inter 2-0 Lazio
Palermo 5-1 Cagliari
Roma 0-0 Chievo
Juventus 2-2 Lecce
Catania 0-2 Milan
Fiorentina 1-0 Torino

03/05/09 - 20:30
Genoa (5th) - Sampdoria (13th)

Quiet win before the last 4 games ... it was our 5th win in a row, our 7th win in our last 8 games without any defeat.
Roma is out of the game for the next CL as they are 8 points behind Fiorentina and can only win 9 points (12 normally but as they will play against us, it's a sure defeat for them).

Thanks to Lecce, we are now second with 4 points over Juventus !! 7 points next sunday ?

we won, could have 4-0 or 5-0 but I take it.
Kaka played well, Inzaghi too but on the other days he would have scored a hatrick.
Seedoft meh, nothing good, nothing bad.
And I like what I saw from Beckham, not that accurate from the cross but played very hard, got an assist as the result.

Finally, lol at Pato's new "hair"

one more great weekend for us...Roma draw, Juve draw, Genoa plays hard city derby against Sampdoria tonight...

The scudetto is out of reach, but we are playing well now that our injured players are starting to come back..kaka had a great game today, a goal and a great curling shot that hit the bar...when he's playing, milan is looking like CL team again...If he were healthy all season, WE would be the champions now. Next season we will kick their a$$ again for good old times...

Hair? What hair?

Seriously, I watched the game on TV today, and the team were so fluid I felt like they were doing a training match. Nearly every pass was connected perfectly, and my channel commentator gave up in the second half trying to count the number of passes Milan were stringing together (I lost count at 40 :P). Kaka, Inzaghi and Pato are trying to out-do one another, hopefully next season Boriello and Ronnie will get in on the act too.

Juve was on the next channel, so I grabbed a look at them when our match was over, and truth be told, I really think we'll cream them in 6 days. They even lost Nedved to YC accumulations. The only thing I'm worried about is them being too aggressive and and injuring some of our players.

Geo mentioned Roma having nothing to play for by the time we come to them, but I have to disagree. They're still in it for the UEFA spots, and with their season in tatters, I have a feeling that they'll be motivated enough to give us a fight. By the time we get to Fiore, all the places should be pretty much confirmed, and I don't think we'll have a problem with that game, but Roma on the other hand look...... not as easy as previously stated.

Well to be fair, Italian teams have a bad habbit off 'giving' up when they're down by 2 or more goals. It seemed like Catania did that today after the second goal. But yeah, the amount of passes reminds me of the old 2003/2004 team, loved how they could hold on to a lead.

The derby in Genoa is 1-1 at the moment... If Genoa lose we'll be sure to at the very worst get 4th, let's hope we don't have to think about that though

I really hope we can beat Juventus, and it would be nice if it could be by a large amount, so we'd have something good to remember this season by

In this match, Kaka played higher than usual. Will he play FC role?

Well, the other thing is that Catania had nothing to play for. As even if they win the rest of their games, they can't make it into Europe and if they lose all their games, they won't be relegate.

To me, this match was byfar the most boring match I had seen in awhile, even though we won. This was not a high intensity match.

That's not true, mathematically they can still get relegated but it's unlikely, the teams below Catania would have to pull a Houdini and win the rest of their games.

Catania literally gave up after our 2nd goal, they looked pretty dangerous at the start and i think the unsung heros in that game are Ambro,Pirlo and Becks, they really controlled midfield and won a lot of possession for us(they lost a lot of possession for us too lol...) when Catania were @ their most dangerous i think it's periods like that which could turn a game either way and our midfield stepped up their game, which is looking good for Juve next week because that's what we need in midfield especially since we're missing Rino.
