Sneijder to Inter will happen sooner or later...but that will not fix their problems, Sneijder is a midfilder, and he is not able to do a Dinho or a Cassano.
He will be an extra option, which is good for them, but not a problem solving option.... i dont get it why Mou didnt opt for WDV, his much more creative in the final third of the pitch.

Apparently Nicola Rizzoli is gonna ref this one, as far as I remember he tends to be a bit controversial, I remember Roma players raging at him after last years 3-3 with Inter, I also remember him giving us a couple of soft penalties when we beat Palermo 3-0.
Can see his stats here: www.worldfootball.net Seems like he has a pretty high average of Yellow cards, which is good for us in my opinion. |

Galliani needs to keep his mouth shut!
http://goal.com/en-us/news/86/italy/...-win-the-derby Milan has been about confidence the past few seasons. I really think with some confidence we could be easily among the most elite in Europe. However, if you give them a 98% chance of victory and Inter get a few freak goals to win (maybe a penalty and say Adriano flies back from Brazil to knock the ball in with his arm again) you'll send this team reeling. Without the confidence they'll quit training hard again and lose motivation! I just wish this game would happen so all this talk will be over! Get on with it and let's stop the speculation! |

This quote from Galliani was a dig at Moaninho and his stats he likes to use.

Yep, Tony75 is right. Galliani was one the "kings" of medias with Berlusconi in Italy, so when we face Mourinho, one of the contenders to this title of "King of Medias"
and also a contender to the "We are the best even when we lose" trophy, Galliani has to play with Mourinho in medias ...Come on, what would be a derby if there is no discusion in medias between both teams ?? The best thing anyway, like each year, is that for us, it is Galliani who talks a lot, not Leonardo, whereas in Inter, it's always their coach ... |

Hmmmm...lots of good posts here, and I like the general tone so far.
I am not confident that we will win this, but then my pessimistic side is to the fore at present. I am quite nervous, and wonder if we really will be able to pull off a win. I predict a draw. FORZA MILAN Regardless.

I think it's all about the strikers... it will be a battle in midfield... not many clear chances, it depends how accurate a header could be, or how oportunistic a striker can be to pick up a rebound...
that's why a guy like Pippo is so important... he will not do anything fancy, but he will put his foot where it needs to be (or his hip, or his butt, or whatever he can use). I have a good feeling about Huntelaar's possible debut, maybe coming on for Borriello, but I honestly wish we could win 1-0 with a Borriello goal to bring him back to the old Genoa state of mind.

We could really use option of an opportunistic Pippo, a lethal Huntelaar, a physical Borriello and an amazing Pato throughout the season. Then at least we are well covered in attack. ![]() |

Honestly, looking at the highlights of Ronaldinho's performance from Siena, we should have won 4-1, Janku and Pato were guilty of missing some great through balls from Dinho.
Now, you could easily say, "it was Siena" but it was exactly these sorts of games that we would draw when Kaka was at the helm. And when a team like Siena plays like they did, destructive, negative, and afraid of us, they tried to shackle Dinho more then top teams would. Inter is not going to put 7 guys behind the ball. They might because of their lack of creativity, but it won't be on purpose. This will give either Dinho more room, Pato, Pirlo, or Huntelaar. Honestly, I'm feeling good about this game. Our season really rests on Dinho's shoulders. Sure, Huntelaar and Pato will need to step up their games (and they seem very capable of doing that, well, Pato at least) but watching Dinho against Siena, I can't imagine what he'll be able to do when he's given the little extra time and space because we'll be playing a big team, who won't fear Milan as much as a relegation battling team. Eto'o will squander chances, and Milito will keep working hard for Eto'o to miss them. The real question is who is going to provide them the chances? Honestly, think about it, when a team relies on their RB (Maicon) as a creative force, that's when you know things are bad. I can't wait for this Derby, I think it's either going to be a dull draw (because of Inter) or we are seriously going to light them up for a good 3-1 win. Eto'o will score a dubious penalty, or some terrible hand ball, it's Inter, they always score against us like that. Honestly, watch Dinho and Pato against Siena. We're going to really put Inter to the sword. |
