UCL SF 1st Leg: Manchester United vs. Milan

A pity we lost it in the last minute, we played well the whole match but it was one of our defenders who lost the ball(i couldn't see who it was).
I think we can beat United at home.

Kaka':
I want to start by saying something we already knew. KAKA is world greatest, he proves he can decide games and show real HEART for his team like always in cl.

C.Ronaldo was a joke, i hate how media can hype up players, sure he is more mature now and better than previous years but c'mon.. i couldnt stand hearing from the commentator how he has to prove the world why he is the world best. Its like media only choose to see what they want to see. I'm glad Kaka has shown once again what he's capable of.

The result:
I dont understand all the negative for our team after this game. Sure we lost, sure we could kept atleast 2-2 at the end, but WE SCORED 2 AWAY GOALS.

when we conceade that 3-2 from rooney, i was pissed.. but on the other hand THIS IS TYPICAL SCENARIO MILAN NEEDS! if the tie last night ended 2-1 in our favor or 2-2, we would approach the sansiro match too relaxed < that's been our weak point in CL for some time. I believe that we can do this at home. As long our defence keeps concentrated at the back 90MINS like vs bayern, we could win this by 2-0 or so.

i just want to remind all of you what happened to bayern against us. they had a positive 2-2 result from SS and thought they are are already in the semi-final...
this loss is something we should take as a lesson, no matter how expirienced the team is, you live and learn.
one more thing, nobody mentioned how good oddo was. he totaly destroyed ronaldo and his tricks on our right flank. someone said oddo played bad because he didn't deliver any crosses but remember he had defensive jobs to do...

is it this weekend man utd-chelski? edited: it's not, they play everton away
maybe they'll be tired...

I swear down Man u is too gd. i doubt we will beat them cos once man u gets in control they are too gd. the two goals kaka scored were poor mistakes by mau s defence and van der sar and they will not make those mistakes again. man u will go there man marking kaka and all our attaking options will just disappear. seedorf has no pace as he used to hav, gilardino did poor all in the match gattuso is probably injured.
We were lucky enuf to face a united side who are having serious injury problems at the moment, and i wld hate to see how gd they are with al their plyers.
Players that are injured:
Vidic:probably the best defender in man u this season until he got injured.
Neville: Plenty of experience, just what the man u back line needs.
Ferdinand:formidable in air, great partner with vidic.
Saha:very strong, decent shot.
Evra: plyed well in first leg. suspended next match
Park: was best plyer for PSV and was becoming a first team player, ahead of fletcher and o shea. scored 3 goals in 3 matches, until he got injured.

I like to watch the premiership, and i ve watched nearly every man u match, and i assure u the premiership is in a class of its own. Aresenal were unluky to lose to PSV. they dominated both matches even without Henry.
Go look on the BBC and look at the PFA Team XI: 8 out of 11 players are MAN u players. Ronaldo won all 3 awards: PFA player of the year, Young player of the year, and PFA fans player of the year. Thats an incredible feat considering ronaldo was facing severe hostilites after he helped in sending off rooney in the world cup. U saw his dribbles at old trafford and our 'grandpa' defence was too slow.
Although i hate rooney the fat pug, u hav to admit his goal was amazing.
and if u see the goal, watch how fast they break from their half.

and by the way, scholes flick was beyond belief. i wish we had sum1 like him

I think they got everyones respect here and over the world.
Ronaldo is a good player, good skill,speed,technique, BUT
he just isnt a player that can stand up against every defence in the world like Kaka does. There were moments in the game last night were Cronaldo was his own selfish kid again.. trying to dribble past 3 defenders from the corner.

Rooney is also a good player scored 2 nice goals, BUT NOONE OUTCLASSED noone this game. well maybe rooney did a great job against dida, and kaka made man unt defence look foolish but as for the both teams it was a good game. NO team in the world is TOO good. Only blind fans talk like that about their own team..

I just think Man United still have to prove they can play a good game with that speed AWAY from home (against a big team/european) cause, i cant recall any.

I think Scholes is a good player, but everyone is creaming their pants over that flick. So what?

There are many players in Serie A who can do that sort of thing. To tell you the truth, I preferred Albertini's in WC 1994 against Bulgaria.

As for the rest, United DID NOT outclass us. We just sat deep in the second half. We will beat them next week. Against Bayern we were in a worse position.

maybe you should respect our players....i understand you didnt say anything about me personally and i apologised for that......but to mention bringing in a sniper rifle or breaking someone legs is not respectful either....so dont worry about raising me.....my parents did a good job.....but you should think about posting in a more 'friendly' manner when criticising one of our players.....not talking about breaking his legs etc

I've read over the last 8 or so pages of this thread and I have to say I am both ashamed and disgusted by some of the things I am reading.

I've had my problems with certain players on the squad and I've voiced that in the past, in a respectful manner. RIGHT NOW however is the time we need to come together and SUPPORT this squad that we have right now. Obviously we can't bring in new players and make deals right now, so as fans we have to deal with the weak areas...OR SHOULD I SAY the areas the experts here feel are weak areas and we have to accept the weaknesses and hope that Ancelotti knows how to make accomodations for the problems.

What I will not accept here are personal threats against any player. If that needs to be clarified for those who do not understand the forum rules that means threats of violence against, or injury to, or death. That is absolutely unacceptable. I don't care who the player is, I don't care what YOU perceive that player has done to offend you. Some of you need to stop and consider a few things before you post, and one thing you need to consider is that someone in AC Milan management does come to Milan Mania from time to time to read the forums. Personal threats against a player could be used to force us to close the forums or could bring legal action against us. There's absolutely NO ONE on these forums who has an opinion I'm willing to go to court over...SO GROW UP!!!

Discussion in this thread can continue however let it be known right now--more threats against Gila will result in Hitmannq8 being banned. Yep, I'm just going to state it publically, and at least I am issuing that much warning. In the past when someone posted a death threat there was no warning, so consider yourself somewhat lucky for now. As far as the trash talk against Dida, it stops...NOW.

I hear you, and given our tendency to slack off when we dont urgently need a result or when we have big leads, this result is certainly not a bad one. The only thing that frustrates me is that why does it have to come to this? Why do we make our lives more difficult?

Against Bayern, we should have shut them down 2-0 or at most 2-1 at the SS, and then go on and play with enough intensity in Munich to still win. But we concede late, make lives difficult, have our backs against the wall, and then pull out a result.

This game was similar. Should have been closed out at 2-1, and we should have had enough fighting spirit to get Man Utd back at the SS and beat them again. It's almost as if we can smell blood, but instead of going for the jugular and putting our opponents out, we allow them back in, and then when we have no other choice, we push for a result.....This has got to change if we are to emulate the Grande Milan of old.
