This of course (unless he plays as a 2nd striker or left winger) effectively eliminates R80, and somehow it seems a retrograde step.

But what do I kno? Let's see if:
a) its true
b) it works.
I don't think a 4-4-2 would eliminate Ronaldinho, as ACMilan1983 said, the 4-4-2 we would be playing with wouldn't really be the old-school British 4-4-2, but rather the one with two playmakers that we've been playing once in a while this season.

I even think that he played in a 4-4-2 the last game against Atalanta. But remember he has played in a 4-4-2 with Brazil many times in a system that's pretty much exactly like the one we've been playing and off for a while now, something like:

-------------DM-----CM----------------
---Kaká-------------------Ronaldinho----
------------Striker---Striker-------------

I don't think it's a bad idea, and if we do try it out, I'd be surprised if we didn't give the nod to Ronaldinho after his goal against Atalanta, and since he's been pretty good in the last couple of games that he's come on, not to mention the reports claiming he's early for training and such. Can't really expect much from him these days, but if Cassano can get reborn like he has, then surely Ronaldinho can aswell. I'd think Leo would go for something like:

-----------Gattuso-----Flamini----------
---Pirlo----------------------Ronaldinho-
------------Huntelaar---Pato------------

I'd probably prefer Pirlo as a CM though.

Anyways, Cristiano Ronaldo is out of our games against Real Madrid, I supose it's good news for us, I couldn't bear having that prick score against us

some Madridstas were saying on another forum they wouldnt be surprised now if Kaka didnt trash his own knee so he wouldnt have to play against us haha

anyway back on topic, i think its worth a try we have tried most other formations, also what happened to Antonini? i was watching some videos of Abate earlier and id love to see him play as a wide player from midfield he played some awesome balls into the centre for the strikers, could use Antonini at Rb with Abate in right midfield,Flamini as the DMF and Pirlo in the centre with Dinho the other side wide left, Hunter and Pato up front?

Look, Milano... Regarding Adriano, I hope Itīs all rumours. Canīt believe our board will bring a guy with his behaviour to Milannello.

This guy is still the same, and is treated here as "O Imperador" by Flamengo board, so he can just be a no-show in a traning session and itīs all ok. To be fair, itīs know that when heīs training, he gives 110% in effort, and also never asked to not go to a subpar game in small pitch. But the problem is that he wants some exemptions that just are tolerated in some Rio de Janeiro big clubs. Teams like São paulo, Internacional, Palmeiras would have fined him several times, and thats one of the reasons that he want to stay in Rio...

Juan, i mean he's good LB going forward from what i've seen but he really is tiny...
I would be very, very disapointed if we bring Juan Maldonaldo to Milan. Reminds me a Cicinho for the left-side. Talented but very soft, and also think heīs the best player in the world. Canīt stand this guy, and imo will fail if he goes to Milan. Didnīt shone at Arsenal, was HORRIBLE at Brazil NT(to be fair, had few chances) and besides to play in a team full of pressure, has a scheme made for him(and Leo Moura, the rightback) to shine. Will not have it in Milan...

Of that rumour, I just hope we are really taking a look at Jucilei. Saw him last week playing(in the same game) as DM, AMD and right man of the mid in a flat 4-4-2. A true box-to-box player. Also, love the boy warrior spirit and attitude in a team that is playing lazy right now. Since they canīt be champions, and had a gurantee spot in the next Libertadores da America.

Second, I saw Diego Souza got a selecao call up? Can you tell me about him? Someone on another forum said he is reminiscent of gourcuff... how good is he?
Diego is a very good player, versatile, but with some tempers problems. But the comparisson with Gourcuff is clueless(no offence to the poster of another forum). They have different styles... Diego was a segundo volante(a more offensive DM) at first, but with time move for a more advanced role.

He can defend and score, but was at AMD that he found his best game. Maybe will win the Golden Ball here in Brazil this year, but I think people are overhyping him in a Tiago Neves way. To be fair, imo he is a better player than T. Neves(and more suited to European game), but as always, the hype is a little out of control. Plus, with Dunga call up, I have no doubt he will be selled.

A really good player, that I donīt know why fail in Portugal(maybe was the young age), but that has a future in Europe... Just need to take care of his temper. But, if I was the man that rules Milanīs purchases, I would pass on him. At least for Brazilian players, we can do better job: Giuliano(my first choice) or Alex Teixeira...

as always I appreciate your responses
Youīre welcome, Milano... I always try to be the more unbiased possible when the subject is Brazilians players, since our journalist love to over hype players. Our Journalist only lose to the Argies journalist in this subject

Regarding Ronaldinho, trequartista, 4-4-2 debate. Brazil NT only became a competitive team when Dunga stopped to call up and play Ronaldinho. Coincidence or not, our midfield service and defense improved a lot. Even with a regular player like Elano at his place. Iīm really glad heīs out of Brazil NT, and canīt wait to see him out of Milan. We canīt have a combination of (2 of)Ronaldinho, Seedorf, Pirlo, Gattuso and Ambro in a midfield and expect to play competitive football. Some do not have the will, others the legs...

Well the reason I think that Ronaldinho still have a place in Milan is that we simply don't have any alternatives, at least until the winter break (if we're lucky). I really don't believe that players like De Genarro or whoever we have as alternatives to Ronaldinho or Seedorf can all of the sudden step up, so I don't think we have much choice. The good thing for Ronaldinho in a 4-4-2 is two things:

First he'll be playing as a left winger, where he really is, and always has been best, he doesn't need to move around as much as he does as a trequartista. Also, unlike Kaká and Pirlo, Ronaldinho is very right-legged, I really think Trequartista's needs to be very good with their weak foot to do well, because unlike wing-forwards like Messi and Ronaldinho, they need to on both sides of the field.

Second, we would be playing with two playmakers, so we wouldn't be overreliant on inconsistant Trequartista's (Seedorf and Ronaldinho), since weīd have two. Also Pirlo really plays well on the Left or the right side of the midfield in this formation.

we are being linked with Juan Albin, is he any good? he seems to have quite a bit of talent in a playmaker role. If we could get him and Cristico i think we could be in pretty goo shape for the rest of the season

Or the other solution would be to play R80 as second forward and Pato or Huntelaar in front of him. That way he is nearer to goal and can only focus on the last third of the pitch. I honestly dont think Dinho has the legs to be a left sided midfielder..

Ederson of Lyon has apparently declared love for Milan according to milannews. He used to play with Thiago Silva. I quite like his ability, he's very talented but can't say I know how good or effective he really is.

FRANCE/ LYON, Ederson calls Ac Milan
Source: Tuttosport

At "Golden foot" ceremony, there was also the midfielder of Lyon , Ederson (23). Here some declaration appeared in Tuttosport: "When I was in Brazil, I've played with Thiago Silva. He was my great friend, I would like to meet him again in Ac Milan. But you know at this moment I must think of Lyon. For a player, however is important to grep up. For this reason I think that after Nice and Lyon, I need to play in a more important team. I prefer the Italian championship..."

Brasiliero, take a look at my theory with Huntelaar as a free player. It has developed

Milan got Hunter for 0 euro in Kaka' deal and "failures" to sign Dzeko and Fabiano. Now Milan is "not happy" with him ( aldough its not his fault and the man hasnt played almost nothing. And is a good player. Maybe not as good as Fabiano but is a good CF!!), and will SELL him or trade him for Bale+Pavlynchenko ( calciomercato ). Funny, we'll not spend any money again!!!!

More, sport mediaset says Braida is there to sign MAldonado and Neymar...

Im not drinking or bathing in kool-aid that Milan MGT are serving. Il believe a revolution when these players play for Milan , at best we'll get Beckham and a free striker possibly Toni or Pavlyuchenko on loan. We obviously cannot afford big name world class players in the 23 -27 year old age group. This seams to me to be like another leak from the Milan MGT to try and keep the fans at bay until January. Then come Jan sure we will be linked with players might actually bid for a few , but squables over transfer costs an whatever we'll end up with old over the hill players....Just my thought on the situation.

think about this guys, Ederson plays for Lyon, Galliani even said 4 summers or so ago that Lyon is a very exspensive Boutique, so why would he pay Lyon type money now?

I havent posted here for a long time, what do i have to say....were are crap and i fear the matches with Real and even Roma. But what irritates me the most is that we are being linked with all the players over the whole ****ing world, but still nobody is coming to Milan except probably Beckham(oh what a joy....),unbelievable.

**** you Berlusconi,

Yours Sincerely,

Actually i think Beckham might be a blessing in disguise, he will give much needed service to the strikers, he also chipped in a few goals as well in the short time he was here

Great points, Christian... Maybe youīre right, and he can do better in Milan in this scheme. But my skepticism come from what I saw in Brazil NT. Parreira tried it in the World Cup(and before), and nothing happened. In the olimpics also with Dunga, he was free at the left, the scheme was made for him to shine, and what I remember was a player stucked at the left line(lazy as hell)...

I hope youīre right, but I have no hope for this guy, as I saw all this in Brazil NT some time ago. They try to build a scheme for him, and this never happens with our NT(they didnīt even for Pelé), and the result wa the same, faliure...

Brazil tried this, rt9... and the result was that the guy up front played isolated and suffer a lot. Ronaldinho was all the time at the left(stepping on the line) and gave no help for the CF.

I really want to share this help you guys have on him, but Iīm used to all this in Brazil NT for the last 3 years. This Ronaldinho of today is a guy to come of the bench, and not in every game. What I way to waste a gift(talent)

Yep, all as you said... Unfortunly

I hope Mediaset is just throwing a smoke screen. Juan Maldonaldo would be a huge mistake, and Neymar isnīt ready. Also, Neymar price today(even unproven) is out of our reach. Thye boy isnīt a fully starter yet, but because of potential his price will be huge. Santos also donīt sell easy...

Thats make me think itīs just a smoke screen... I hope.
