In this story with Allegri, Milan and Cagliari, there is a man coming back as a rumour: Leonardo.

Actually, like Cagliari with Allegri, Leonardo is still under contract and they wait to have a replacement before breaking it and allowing Leo to come back in Brazil ... It looks like they do that to have a way to put some kind of pressure on Cellino: if he asks for too much or if he really intends to keep Allegri (which he won't do anyway), Leonardo could be sent back on our bench until the end of his contract.

It's the rumour of the day.

Milan Patron Silvio Berlusconi Tells Adriano Galliani To Raise Transfer Funds By Selling Players - Report

Players need to be sold before new ones arrive...
By Salvatore Landolina

Jun 12, 2010 10:10:00 AM

Milan patron Silvio Berlusconi has sent a transfer mandate to CEO Adriano Galliani reminding him that equity needs to be raised from player sales before the club invests in new transfers.

Telelombardia reports that Berlusconi spoke to Galliani over the phone this week, telling him to have a rethink before making heavy investments.

With the transfer budget slashed in line with new spending policies, Galliani has little to play with.

Berlusconi wants fringe players on high wages ousted from the club and he hopes Galliani can bring the wage bill down across the squad. It currently stands at €86 million per annum.

Kahka Kaladze, Marek Jankulovski and Massimo Oddo are all unlikely to be offered new deals as part of planned cuts.

Even Ronaldinho's future is uncertain. He seems unwilling to take a pay cut, leaving the door open for a move to Manchester City.

I think that is probably our problem with money.

too many players have been here too long, their wages have inmcremently increased as part of their deals and when they've got new contracts they've probably got pay raises too.

all this means is we have loads of players on astronomical wages that aren't doing much. I shudder to think what Seedorf is on.

Is he free agent? Actually I wouldn't mind him as he's nice player from what I've seen through his period at Lyon... Even featured for France as I can recall... It would be good move, small salary, better than Jankulovski and certainly younger than Oddo... And at least he is fullback comparing to Abate...

Anyway, I would welcome this move... He can be decent backup, but we also need starter, offloading Zambro and bringing Van der Wiel as starter and Clerc as backup would be pretty nice job, if you ask me...

Thing is, we aren't offloading Zambrotta. Gianluca is one of our untouchables in the managements eyes unfortunately. It would definitely be nice to get rid of Oddo, Janku, Kaladze, Favalli (done), Zambrotta, Gattuso, Dida (done) all in one summer..but its highly unlikely.

Others news:

City on T.Silva
Allegri should arrive in 5/6 days after Galliani and Cellino meet
Milan linked with a young French attacker called Kevin Gabiero (his clause is 15m euro)
Krasic: "I'm not going to City"

Tuttomercato says Dzeko is going to Juve. Also Gallas is better choice then free Yepes, but we cannot do that also.

Fabiano is by far the best striker on the market. For Brazil he's one of the best strikers in the world. He's had injury problems with Sevilla, but he still always managed to score goals. Check his scoring record for Brazil it's fenomonal.

He's currently much better than Dzeko, and certainly better than Huntelaar as well, obviously Dzeko would be the better solution long term, but if we're looking for someone who's gonna be good now, then Fabiano is the best option. To bad we didn't buy him a couple of years ago, he could've been an absolute legend for Milan.

Thing is, we MUST NOT look for someone who's going to be good NOW, we need someone who will be great in future, and good now... As much as I like Fabiano type forward, I wouldn't get him this summer.

We must not make these transfers (30+ players) anymore, because if we don't want to totally colapse we need young fresh blood, old up to 26 years max.

Many people think we should buy someone to UPGRADE team, but reality is we need to build it from the bottom. We don't have recognizable play anymore so we could afford to buy one-two players just to fulfill that, we need new ideas and try to smartly get players who will be dictating our play in several years...

Making mistakes like letting Krasic, Gourcuff, Dzeko and several others go to other teams makes this management completely incompetent...

Yepes is a far better player than Gallas nowadays ...

It's Kevin Gameiro from Lorient ... A young and very fast striker (but also a small size player). He did a very good season in Lorient. My question about him is to know if it's thanks to the way Lorient plays (they have decent players, but they play well together thanks to the tactics of Gourcuff, they are always moving, a bit like Lille, these both teams are the most interesting ones tactically, so is Gameiro one of these decent players or is he the one outstanding in the team ?).

EDIT: Just saw the article on TMW ... they don't say we're linked with him but the contrary actually. They report we don't want him anymore.

As good as he could be (or not) for us, it's just another very injury prone player ... and like I don't rate him that high, decent player + very injury prone = I hope it's just a rumour !!

Rumors from yesterday:

Janku's agent say Janku's future depends on Milans new tactician and also Rino Gattuso has not ruled out a move to Dubai but has not confirmed it.

Selling Marek, Oddo, Gattuso, Kaladze and Huntelaar needs to be done. Those players still have mercato value and Milan needs that kind of moves. That would also mean those players will be replaced by half-quality players coz of Galliani We'll start with Lazzari.

There's a video of Dzeko saying that Milan were interested in him last year, but this year it doesn't look like it because of Wolfsburg's money requests.
