Daily Mail (not reliable in the slightest) says the Huntelaar - Pavlyuchenko swap is looking likely.

Meanwhile, just read on milannews Milan are close to Rafinha, with 10m being the asking price while Galliani would prefer to conclude the deal at 8.

I also read that Leonardo had been in Brazil for 3 days, which could be personal, but the odd thing was that it was at a time where the team was suposed to practise.

Anyways, all these Huntelaar rumours are getting out of hand, at least give the guy a full game before we axe him. It's hard to say if there's any truth to them though, the media has a tendency to go into a collective frenzy when stuff like this starts.

Not worried about Huntelaar at this point and Daily Mail is like tribal in the reliability stakes.

About Leo, can't say I understand why he'd go to Brazil. The only thought I have is it's either personal, or maybe something has come out of Braida's visit. Leaving the players in Tassotti's care should be ok imo, there's not much going on atm and it'll probably just be the standard fitness training for this week.

We're linked to Simplicio now according to milannews. A good player to have bought a number of years ago, but now he won't add much.

Knowing how deluded and short sighted the management have been over the last couple of years i wouldn't be surprised if they were pushing Huntelaar out of the club, I don't think much of the Mirror or Corriere dello Sport who broke the story i just hope this is some more sloppy reporting.

Personally i would think that Leonardo would want to inspect any possible new players first hand, still he could have gone over there for a hoilday but knowing the pressure he is under i am sure he would of spent some of the time scouting for new players. I still don't understand why Briada is in Brazil when Brazil Ghana Hungry Costa Rica best young players are in Egypt at the moment he should have spent the month in north africa.

btw I would think at this point a move for Juan is more likely than Milan getting Rafinha especially since he would cost 6 million and has a Spanish passport

why cant we do something simple, like buy Crisitco from Genoa for like 10 mil and Janks, and then Magria from Parma for 10. thats 2 talented players in positions of need for 20 mil. we would be a much better team.

I hope Beckham replaces Pirlo in our midfield. Our defensive midfielders have worked hard, but they've had the regrettable job of having to add to our attack since we switched from the 4-3-2-1 of the last twoish years, to the 4-3-1-2. I am frustrated with them, no doubt, but do I fault them? No.

Pirlo is a great player, and I would much rather he resurrects himself. However, Beckham seems to have the greater desire to play, and he actually has more unpredictable passing patterns. Pirlo does that same lob/dink for everyone. Italy, Milan, anyone. It doesn't work, and just because it worked once with Grosso a couple games ago, doesn't mean that he should keep trying it. Plus, he doesn't even do it well. Nesta's dink for Ronaldinho's (fantastic) goal against Atalanta was the only proper lob I've seen from Milan.

I hope Juan Maldonaldo doesn't come to Milan. Not because of his play, not because he failed at his first try in Europe (so did Thiago) but because I feel it would come at the expense of Rafinha, who I have always been very impressed with. Rafinha is non-EU, which is fine, hopefully that'll push Milan to finally invest in some new Italian talent.

If Milan actually go for Maldonaldo, I'll be hesitant, but I'll hope for the best. Ideally we'd be buying Crisicto and Rafinha, but, I doubt that'll happen.

Huntelaar should be given the full 90 minutes for once. I don't see how taking him off at like 55 minutes every game is going to give a striker any confidence. He knows he's going to be taken off around the hour mark, and knows that if he doesn't score, he'll be taken off. So he looks for the goal more, becomes more desperate, making poor choices, and then getting out of his natural rhythm. It's poor man-management on Leonardo's part, to be honest.

The way I look at it, Crespo took how long to score for Milan? And that was in a very good Milan team, too. So, I think we should be more patient with Huntelaar, there are bigger issues than him.

The way we are operating with Huntelaar is a joke, and cannot do the player any good. I agree with Samaldinho here fully.

I also think Becks will add an increased work rate, as well as a greater range of passing than Pirlo, and will do while we look for the Pirlo replacement.

I just hope that our incoming in Jan isn't limited only to Becks...

Bulgaria beat Georgia 6-2... does anyone know if Kaladze played? I'm really curious.

Yes Kaladze played.

BTW. Bosnia just lost big time to Spain 5:2 we lost, but played well. Again Edin Scored, he has now 9 goals in the Qualifiers. Not bad...

Good luck to Edin and Bosnia in the play offs for the World Cup. Oct 19 is the draw.

In Lyon, it was planned that Ederson would be the leader of the team after the "retirement" of Juninho. The fact is that Ederson was good last year with Juninho but has failed to become the leader of this team so far ... worse, Pjanic has taken his place and Ederson is now a bench player.

He isn't a true AM but more an attacking CM (anyway in Lyon), and I don't think he could be a solution for us ...

Samaldhinio, Im not the biggest fan of Beckham, but if he is to line up for us then he should start with Pirlo and never in his place. If he is going to take anyones spot then I would say Gatusso. The reason why we cant attack is because we have 2 DMs in our midfield compounded by the fact we have no real playmaker or wingers. A midfield of Pirlo, Seedorf, Flamini and Beckham will be able to create more and still provide balance.

I dont see Abate as a midfielder, but as a rightback.
