Any team with the ability to sign Aguero and not doing so because of "character issues" would be fooling themselves.

Nilmar suc*s, he is not european top side material.

Fair enough, Paolo3...Itīs your opinion and I respect. But Iwant to add some points: It was Barelona newspaper Diario Sport, the first to say Barįa are shopping Dos Santos around, so my information came from them.

Second, Mexico outplayed Brazil at the final, no doubt. But this "Dos Santos outplaying Anderson" information isnīt fair...For the ones that didnīt saw the game, Anderson receives a criminal takle in the first half(when Brazil was the better team on the field), and played the rest of the game injured. Look, Iīm not taking anything from Dos Santos(However, imo Vela was the best at the final), but until the injure, Anderson was the best player on the pitch. So , who knows what have happened if Anderson stayed heathly...
If I have to chose the best at the final:
1-Carlos Vela
2-Dos Santos
3-Marcelo
4-Anderson

I agree that both are technical and skilled, but I do not that they have the same ceiling...Both can play as second strikers or wingers, but Dos Santos never will be able to play in the same role as Anderson at Manchester United...maybe he can play AMD(Anderson original position), but I still wants to see Dos Santos deliver in that role...
IMO, a amazing player tht can play all position but DM holder/CF from the mid to the attack canīt have the same ceiling of a very good second striker/winger...but, as I said, itīs just my opinion.
Actually I did watch the game and face it, Giovanni was the better player on the final, as I said only time will tell if this kid will become one of world's best AM, but he definitely has a very, very high ceiling.....and as for the Spanish papers, let's just say that they are not the most reliable in the world, my gut feeling is that he'll stay and develop relatively slow just like Messi when he was Giuly's bench (I'm not comparing him with Messi, I'm just taking Messi as an example of a player developed on the same system), but I really think that in order to have a better career he needs to leave Spain, the fans there are just crazy, one day a player is best in the world and the next day he's crap, they target certain players and make their life miserable, they did it to Ronaldo (in Real), they are doing it to Ronaldinho, heck they even did it to Raul for a couple years before he regain form last year.

About the foul on Anderson, come on man! you don't need to make any excuses, Brasil is simply the best country in the world when it comes to football, but in that particular game they were in the wrong end of the final as the other team played a lot better than them, the final score was 3-0 in favor to Mexico, enough said.

Just as as a comment, just recently Mexico lost its chance to play in Beijin as their U-23 NT did't qualify on their area, guess who wasn't playing the qualifying games? Dos Santos wasn't there because Barza didn't let the kid go (Vela wasn't there either). While Anderson is surronded by great talent in the under age Brasil NT's, that's not the case for Dos Santos, HE IS THE MAN for Mexico in the youth NT, and he took them to their first U-17 WC championship a few years ago, and on last year U-20 WC they did very well too because Gio was in great form, what I'm trying to say is that this kid has the talent to take an above average team and make them very competitive.

I rate Anderson very high, but IMO Dos Santos has at least the same chance as Anderson to become a WC player as IMO they are equally talented......only time will tell.

He's one of the best forwards to have come from the brazilian league in the last ten years, too bad he's injury prone at such a young age.

Sure they arenīt the most reliable, and if it was Diaro As or Marca talking about Giovani I will never put the rumour here, but Mundo Deportivo and Sport clearly have inside information about Barįa...
Regarding the second bold part, I canīt say better...

See, here youīre answering my question...the 2 best players of Mexico didnīt play and they didnīt qualify in a VERY WEAK area. At the same time, when Brazil lose Anderson at the final of a World Cup and it was nothing and Iīm making excuses??
BTW, Paolo3...Brazil was not only without Anderson, they played the W. Cup without the MVP and top scorer of South America Championship, Kerlon...

EDIT: Paolo3, our discussion is becoming off topic, but you can PM me if you want "to argue" more

Kulspruta, donīt waste your time...this user always bash any brazilian player that I hype here. Long time ago, when I hyped in MM Mascherano and Lucho Gozales he didnīt shows this angry...heīs more argentine than my argentine friends here in Bahia.

BTW, go to Milan X Napoli game thread...he was the one saying that Pato debut against Napoli wasnīt impressive
If it was for him, Milan would not have bought Pato(a huge mistake)...Carlito Tevez was the better option and player

As you said, Nilmar was one of the best fowards produced in Brazil in the last ten years, and if it wasnīt for one injure, would have played the last world Cup. What a shame...

Also Banega came to Spain at the same time of Pato and is already facing problems with the law...the same player that after win the under-20 W. Cup in Canada...with his teammates, destroyed the Hotel room to have fun
Iīm sure Berlu, Galliani, Maldidni only wants class act at Milanelo, and for them character issues on and off the field are valuable...

To me "Brazil was the better team when Anderson got injured, who knows what have happened if he stays healthy" sounds a little bit as an excuse, but if you say is not then I guess I'm wrong.

You're actually confirming my point when you say about Kerlon injury, Brazil have tons of talented players (probably most than anyone else in world) and that takes some pressure off the players on the pitch, knowing that if one doesn't perform is likely that someone else will, that's just not the case with Mexico, Dos Santos take the youth NT of his shoulders and makes them very competitive (they even won their first WC championship ever at any level), and look what happened when he wasn't pulling the strings, they didn't even make it on a very weak area as you said.

You're right about one thing, we are indeed getting off topic.........so getting back on track, what do you know about Alex Silva, is he going to Milan as some reports said? I liked what he did for Sao Paulo's defense along with Breno, he's talented, tall, strong, young and cheap (I think he's running out of contract), just what Milan needs.

I'd say that Tevez is likely a better player than Pato still. Pato on the other hand have a world of potential to fullfill. Pato though was most likely the better options like you said.

I am not going to comment on that championship. But watching Anderson and Dos santos in europe, I would say Anderson is the better player by quite some distance. Dos Santos mostly seems to be able to run with the ball and never showed me something special. Anderson have come from injuries and become a almost sure starter in possibly the best team in the world right now.

We were actually discussing if Dos Santos have the potential to become a WC player, while Anderson may (or may not) be a better player right now he's far from being a WC player, but he (just as Dos Santos) have all the tools with him.....now you can't judge a player for 3/4 of a season (specially if he's a rookie), 'cos that's exactly the time Dos Santos has been in Barcelona's first team, if you haven't watch him play more regulary you can't really give a good opinion on him, I happed to have followed this kid career very closely and trust me, his talent is quite impressive, but the truth is that we won't know for sure if he (or Anderson for that matter) becomes a world's great until a couple years from now, so let's put this thing on hold until 2010

I did say the premises for what I seen quite clearly and judged by that. As of now, Dos Santos have some catching up to do.

I hope this is just a rumour...Alex silva is a good player, but he wasnīt even the best defender at São Paulo. Breno(Bayern) and Miranda(still playing in São Paulo) are better players than him...and despite the fact he did a good job in his first game at Brazil NT(playing against Marroco), imo we have much better options in Brazil like Thiago Silva, Miranda, Henrique...

Imo thereīs no way that heīs worth our non euro spot. ..and I hope we donīt are after him.

today we linked with Hernanes and Diego Miltio, possible swap with Oliveira.

i like this idea,as Milito is less risky than Gomes, also considering he is a great target man,we can rotate Paloschi/Milito/Borriello for one spot in attack,in addition we can spend the money in strengthing the other departments.
