I'm hoping that one of Bayern or Juventus will beat Chelsea ... maybe even Liverpool. but as a supporter of the club, i don't think we realistically have a chance now of getting to the Semi Final, let alone the Final

A word of caution also for people getting carried away with our draw (Milan) too, remember Depor ?? Nothing is gauranteed, so none of this "We're made for the final" crap.

Milan rivals drawn together
Friday, 18 March 2005
AC Milan were paired with FC Internazionale Milano in today's draw for the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals in Nyon, Switzerland, while there will also be a repeat of the 1985 final between Liverpool FC and Juventus FC.

Holders eliminated
Milan, the 2003 winners, are targeting their seventh success in Europe's most prestigious club competition. Their opponents Inter were the final team to qualify for the last eight having eliminated the holders FC Porto on Tuesday. Liverpool and Juventus will meet for the first time since the 1985 final in Brussels, won by the Serie A side but overshadowed by the deaths of 39 fans.

Leaders meet
In the remaining two ties, the French leaders will play their Dutch counterparts after Olympique Lyonnais drew PSV Eindhoven. Chelsea FC, along with Lyon the only remaining sides never to have won the European Champion Clubs' Cup, will tackle FC Bayern München - conquerors of Arsenal FC - in the final quarter-final tie. The Chelsea manager José Mourinho won the competition with Porto last season.

Semi-final draw
The draw was also made for the semi-finals, with teams learning who their potential opponents will be should they reach the last four. The quarter-final ties will be played over two legs, starting on 5/6 April and concluding a week later. The winners will progress to the semi-finals, with the two legs scheduled for 26/27 April and 3/4 May. The final will take place at the Atatürk Olympic stadium in Istanbul, Turkey on Wednesday 25 May.

well that was fast

I dont know why people underrate Liverpool (neutrals and Juventus fans alike, Milanistas I know claim Pool will win it just to piss me off but they think Juve'll go through) at this stage NO ONE should be underrated. Geez.

how can u not underate liverpool. they suck. they had the eeasiest draw and are doing terribly in a league that is inferior to ours. i think juventus will play with chelsea in the semifinals. i think lyon will beat psv and we will play them.

I expected an all-italian QF because I have a conspiracy theory that they want to knock out the Italians.
Sehnsi, look over your shoulder - there is a CIA or KGB agent watching every step you take. When you have 3 ITA teams out of 8 it is normal to expect that there could be an all-italian QF. For Milan, or any other ITA team, to have drawn another ITA team the chances were 2/7, while for Milan to have drawn a non-ITA team, as Juve did - shhhh, keep quiet, Moggi is listening, the chances were 5/7 - all in all, when you have 3 ITA teams from 8 you shouldn't be surprised to have an all-ITA QF. Don't worry about conspiracies but worry about Liverpool for they are gonna knock you guys out and the scariest thing is that Moggi has only Italian refs in his pocket. Actually that last one isn't correct for what Moggi has in his pocket are key for brand-new FIATs and such, but that's another story. Liverpool has every ligitimate chance to knock you guys out so ... I guess you have less than 3 weeks to put Moggi's serie A winning tactics to work.

Because as I stated in another forum:

Quote:
DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE LIVERPOOL. cant any of you have at least the decency to respect the teams that made it THIS far ? How dare you underestimate a team who earned their place in the QF ? Do not be such bigheads and boast just because you defeated Madrid you can take over the world ... Milan - Deportivo ought to teach you some lessons
ps - about using Milan-Depor as an analogy, no pun intended... Of course on paper Juventus looks stronger and all that but those who made it at this stage really shouldnt be underestimated.

Nothing.. you were a bit confusing because you claim to be a Milanista yet a bit passionate MU and Porto at the same time.. Anyway I dont mind all that, I still think you're a Milan fan.. Like I said I didnt mean what I said. That was anger talking. My sincere apologies.
