UCL QF: AC Milan vs Bayern Munich

9 defenders and only 2 strikers, we'll be aiming for a 0 - 0 draw then? And to think of the flare that Milan teams of the past were associated with. I think we'll struggle against Bayern, but remain hopeful. If we are to go out, I'd prefer us to go out fighting and trying to play a bit of football. C'mon Carlo, think outside of the box for a change, Bayern should be thinking about how to combat us rather than us just defensively playing into their hands.

well, it's not like Carlo had a choice - the only other strikers we have are Ronaldo (cup-tied), RO (seems to have suffered an injury vs Roma as he trained apart from the main group), and Borrielo (was taken off the CL player list after his doping problems to make space for Storari and Oddo).

Plus, in this game, the most important thing would be to not concede an away goal. This will be a close tie, in all likelyhood, and results like last years 4-1 or whatever would be very very unlikely for any of the two teams ... so not conceding away goals would be twice as important.

I am quite nervous about this game, but think we can progress, again, by eliminating mistakes, both in defense, and in attack....

We should be able to score if we minimise on errors up front, and in defense, if we avoid poor clearances, mark properly, and play as a unit.

100% concentration is what we will need, but I am sure we will rise to the occasion.

Yes, he did say that. But he also said that "it depends on how you interpret the formation".

He has said that plenty of times and then fielded Kakà and one single striker. Ancelotti sees Kakà as a striker.

btw, RO has been called up for the game vs Bayern, as well. It seems he had been having fever but his conditions have improved and Carlo has added him to his list of players.

It looks like Maldini will be starting, when in fact, we should be playing Bonera...I might get shot for this, but I am actually looking forward to Maldini´s retirement...if he leads the defense like he did vs Inter...then we wont be going far in this UCL game...

On the other hand, maybe the rest is what he needed...I dont kno, I just prefer Bonera...but Maldini´s UCL experience may serve us better.

I had a take home exam today and all I could think about was this game...I think Milan will win tommorow 3 - 1 Kaka Gila Kaka, FORZA MILAN!

Forza Milan, my mind has been set on this game for a long time now. Just keep a clean sheet, and play on the counter. Get a 1-0 result, 2-0 would be fantastic.

I'd prefer a 3-0 scoreline though..no away goals PLEASE. FORZA MILAN!!

Anyone know if this will be broad casted on ESPN? They usually show an English team, but since its getting close to the end of the tourney you think they will show the milan game?
