Inter have dominated a very average Serie A this season, how average has been proved with our hammering of Roma (2nd in Serie A). You're quite right though, we haven't won anything yet, but that doesn't mean we can't be confident of winning the lot, we've risen to every challenge this season and we will continue to do so despite an injury crisis.
lol, you dont need help from anyone oh please all i seem to hear is Man utd fans saying 'Come on Newcastle beat Chelsea today' and when they actually think about it theyre like 'Come on Arsenal your such a great team beat Chelsea' Thats all your good for licking ar.ses. Win 3 and draw 1? Hold up your 1 point ahead of Chelsea if they beat Newcastle today, and youve still got a game against Chelsea left, I very much doubt it your cruising. Ok West Ham were lucky, Fabregas was also lucky taking the ball off (The Untouchable Ronaldo), Ade was lucky slipping the ball under the Keeper, Hold up even Van Persie was lucky with the goal at the Emirates, and Henry was lucky also with the header, LMAO even Henry scored with a header. You should of won at Emirates? Im sorry, I dont want to dig up old games but Arsenal had a clear penalty waved on, EVERYBODY knows that Man Utd have had the rub of the green when it comes to Penalty decisions, even Y'day you should of lost that game.

Average Seria A team? Oh please just like your scumbags of mates your pathetic, you beat a team 7-1 which has no Cl experience and you think you already have the one hand on the CL trophy, just like zlat has mentioned before me you keep mentioning that same game over and over again, just grow up and shut up. If you cant shut up then start reading the posts ur friends posted 2Years back, im sure that will help.

Are ManU so much better than Milan that you guys expect them to run circles and whatnot around us ... rest assured, Milan is well aware of the threa manU can be and our coaches and experienced players would never underestimate you ... the question is, is this the case with young and inexperienced hot-heads like CR and Rooney, given that Roma game and the recent run of good results for the club?
It's a lot easier for a younger mind to get lost in the clouds, you know
CR a hothead??????????

Rooney has well documented temperament problems but Ronaldo is as level headed as they come.

I think man for man with no injuries we're evenly matched, I think we have a better GK in van der dar, the defences would have been well matched although yours has more experience while ours more pace, the centre midfield you edge with the defensive quality of gatusso while we edge the forward line, despite Kaka we have more threat with rooney, ronaldo giggs and saha.

The main reason I'm so confident is because what I've seen us do this season, not just to Roma but to anyone who's got in our way, we have simply destroyed teams, turning it on at will, we made mugs out of chelsea for 45 minutes but then sat back and tried to defend a 1 goal lead, we have been too cautious in the CL for several years but the win v Roma was a dramatic return to a typical united style of play, defensively sound but quick and deadly in attack. I think we simply possess an extra gear in attack that you don't have. I may look a fool in 10 days time but can only tell it as I see it now.

I think the injuries in or defence will have 2 effects i) that we will be as focused as it is possible to be, we know that any mistakes will be punished and ii) mean that we have to be on the front foot because we simply don't have the players to be able to cope with sitting back and letting you come on to us

Milan comfortably beat 13th placed Cagliari away yesterday, while Man U could only manage a home draw with a 14th placed Boro....

Please dont bring up the WCup, since as far as I can recall, Man U have no winners of the competition on your squad....none.

I admire Man U´s playing style, but believe that we can beat you guys, and do so comfortably over 2 legs.

Man U have good players, but we have better, especially with your 1st choice defense out thru injury...so instead of coming here and posting crap, go to church, the mosque, the synagogue, or where ever u guys go to pray, and to whatever God, that we dont inflict a similar scoreline to the one you gave Roma...

I can see Wes Brown and Heinze looking at each other in bewliderment, as Kaka celebrates his first of what could be many goals.

FORZA MIIILAN!!

Having the domestic pressure may "kill" you at the end.

Look at the past years in CL and see how pressured domestically were the winners.

In 2003, when they won it, Milan were 12-15 points behind the leaders Juve in serie A, and they were pretty clear from 5th placed Parma. They concentrated on CL only and they won it.
The finalists from that year, Juventus, were also certain at 1st place and it made it much easier for them to make it to the finals, unlike the semifinalists Real Madrid for whom every match was to be or not to be because Sociedad was winning in Spain at the time.

In 2004 winners Porto had absolutely no pressure on them in Portugal, while finalists Monaco were chancless against Lyon in France and could have concentrated on CL.

In 2005 Liverpool gave up in EPL and gave it all in CL - they won it

Last year : Wenger thought about CL only while Barca had La Liga already won while playing in later stages of CL

Only Milan of 2005 can be compared to Man U from this year when we talk about pressure. They were fighting with Juve in Italy and they had CL matches also. The result : Lost both "finals", against Juve and against Pool.

You know, as a Juve fan you can imagine which team of the 2 i'd like to go to the finals, but realistically speaking i see Milan eliminating ManUtd.
Don't compare them with Roma. Champions league is Milan's thing. They've been here before, many times, and they know what to do. Roma was just a rookie in CL knock outs.
You can't just close your eyes in front of what's happening to your team. You have only 14 players and 2 of them are goalkeepers. I have to admit all these 14 players are classy ones and they can beat everyone, but this time they'll be against an experienced, not pressured, well rested team that has 9 world cup winners and more than 10 CL winners.

Don't be so confident about eliminating them.

just because we don't need any help doesn't we don't want it, it will make our lives a lot easier if newcastle get a result today, but I don't expect they will, we need to beat everton, city and west ham and get a draw against Chelsea, then it doesn't matter what cheslea do.

United may get the benefit of a few decisions, no more than any other team its just that when you're the biggest team in the world they get more publicity. At least I can watch a match knowing that the referee is impartial and my team won't have to appeal to get a deserved relegation overturned...

why would posts from 2 years ago enlighten me? this is a different United team, a better one, 2 years ago is irrelevant apart from that it may make you a little complacent.

We always play better under pressure, in 99 the league went down to the last game and we won the lot, in 2000 and 2001 we were under no pressure in the league and lost tamely in the CL.

One of the reasons why United are so popular, especially in england is that 'backs to the wall' mentality, all the way back to the Munich air disaster in 1958, its not the disaster that creates loyalty (as torino can attest I'm sure) but the way we came back from that, being European champions 10 years later with a new team under the same amazing manager, it's what we do, over come the odds, we're not comfortable doing it the easy way, which is why the defensive crisis may simply be another 'against the odds' story to add to our folklore

It was offside though but the ref let the game go on

With Rio's reccurance we will be facing Milan with our entire first choice defence out injured now if we escape with a draw from the first game we will have done extremely well.

Put simply, we couldnt break Boro down yesterday because the defence didnt look like holding out, the midfield pair of Scholes and Carrick could see that and had to drop back to cover being hit on the break by Boro. End result, we couldnt commit enough players forward to keep Boro under sustained pressure and force them to collapse.

Compare this to when we faced Blackburn, they took a lead against the run of play but because our defence looked solid the central midfield had no worries and went forward at will. we had over 20 shots on goal that day and who scored the key goals? Scholes and Carrick Against Milan the pair of them will be on the back foot again to cover the almost inevitable balls ups of O' Shaky and Brown. I dont even know who is fit to play fullback but if Evra doesnt make it back it could Darren Fletcher at right back

he went for the megs but took too long over it

Typical Chelsea, Utd play bad and draw but Chelsea play bad far more often and almost always end up winning. Just a matter of waiting for Lampard to win it with one of his specialty mis-hit deflected shots

I'd have said the reason we couldn't break down Boro was they have 11 men behind the ball and the chances we created we missed. we were on the front foot for the second half we just couldn't find the finishing touch.

Not totally accurate, they kept a lot of men back but as long as they had Viduka and Yakubu on the pitch they had 2 physical forwards that our makeshift defence couldnt handle. About 5 mins into the 2nd half Viduka spun Brown on the edge of the area and really should have scored but for a good save from VDS, from that point on the central midfield really didnt push forward until the last 10-15 mins after they brought Gook on. I think we only managed 1 shot on target in the entire game, which for Utd at home is almost unheard of...

I've already said that we didn't create the same number of chances that we usually do, but those that we did create were hit wide, it was one on target but lots wide. they created 3 chances, one was the goal, the second VDS saved and the 3rd should have been a penalty, apart from that it was long shots from them.

a big question.

would the milanese support like the english police to treat them like the italian police treat the english support ?

rivalry is rivalry. you get it at nearly every game, no matter what league, country etc. In derbies, CL, uefa cup. it happens. loads of swearing, the odd person throwing things. stuff happens. I go games all the time and it happens.

but when the local police 'target' an away support for brutality, it takes it to a new level. I know a lad in the force in greater manchester, and he says he would love nothing better than to be able to dish a bit of it back out. just to send the message home to the italian police about the impact of their behaviour on a global level. personally i don't condone police brutality on any set of fans (apart from galatasary).

are the milanese support angry at the roma support for causing such bad feelings, anger, hatred etc between our 2 nations. Let's be honest, it could go right off. with us both being fired out of the CL

I cant think of many chances we had that were decent though, Rooney had one were he burst through but put it wide under pressure, apart from that there werent too many where we got into the box.

Fortunately Chelsea just messed up too so at least we're still in the driving seat fro now
