'Oggi è una bellissima giornata sono contentissimo di poter chuiudere qui la mia carriera. Il Presidente ci ha parlato con grande voglia come sempre vuole che la storia prosegua e quindi ricominciamo con grande carica'.

'Siamo tornati ad allenarci qui a Milanello. E' stata una tournè non positiva, ma era prevedibile perchè giocando ogni tre giorni e cambiando sempre città e fuso orario...ma il nostro obiettivo era quello di venire a Milanello per iniziare a prepararci per la stagione che sta per iniziare. Siamo pronti anche per il derby. Iniziare bene significherebbe dare un grande segnale per tutti'.

'Leonardo è una bravissima persona e dimostrerà con il tempo di essere un bravissimo allenatore grazie anche all'aiuto di tutti perchè se lo merita e sicuramente insieme raccoglieremo i frutti. La società comprerà un grande attaccante, noi sappiamo chi è ma non possiamo dirlo (ride n.d.r.). Ci darà una mano per vincere. Il 17 agosto ci sarà il tofeo Luigi Berlusconi aspettiamo tanta gente per iniziare insieme la nuova stagione'

Today is a beautiful day, I'm very happy to be able to end my career here. It's thanks to Berlusconi, Galliani and Leonardo who put me off the mercato and so give me the possibility to end my career here. When they communicated me this information, I was "all happy", finally, the story of this summer ends there and I can continue the aventure in Rossonero.

There was a possibility for me to move but to finish, we all agreed and decided I would stay here and we are all happier. There were many doubts this summer but we are all happier to stay in Milan in my family. This year, after the retirement of Maldini and the sale of an important player, we are all more responsible. The story of Milan must continue like the one in the past with victories. We, the "olders" (the ones here from the most time), must take more responsability to give to everyone more satisfaction.

We are back to Milanello to train. The tour wasn't positive, but it was predicted because we played each 3 days after moving from city to another city and different GMT ... but our real objective was to come back to Milanello to prepare our season that will start soon. We are ready for the derby too. Starting well would send a strong message to everyone.

Leonardo is a very good person and he will show with time that he is a very good coach thanks to the confidence of everyone towards him because he deserves it. The club will bring an excellent striker, we know who he is but we can't say it (smiling). He will help us to win. The 17th of August, we will play the Luigi Berlusconi trophy, we will wait for a lot of people to start together the new season.


So from what I can understand, Pirlo didn't know what the club wanted to do about him and he would have prefered to stay in Milan ... finally the club decided he would stay, and everyone is happy in the best of the worlds ...

So they have a deal for a striker now? Cool, about time.
