yeah im not to fussed about him missing the siena trip either, its just that having your debut against 4 time champions may be a little daunting..

No big deal with him missing the Siena game. He hasn't had any form of preseason to prove anything---so how do we know what we're missing? I would rather Pippo or Boriello play and the Hunter gradually inserted into the squad once he's fully fit.

I think the first game is going to be crucial; last year we lost a strange game at home (against Bologna?) which should be avoided at all cost this season.

Forza Milan!

We lost our first 2 games against Bologna and Genoa.

It really sucks that he'll be out of the Siena game. It would be a good match to get him up to speed, especially since I think he was recovering from injury(?). I wouldn't start him against Inter though, I'd bring him on at around the 60th minute for Pippo or Bori, whoever started that game with Pato.

I have high expectations for this guy but only if we get the tactics and the SERVICE from midfield and the wings in order. Once you give The Hunter service, you get goals. And it's as simple as that.

Exactly Mystik. You hit the nail on the head. Our service from our fullbacks have been awful, even our setpiece delivery and corner kicks have sucked over the years. THis is why we have to keep relying on deep balls from Pirlo and Inzaghi somehow breaking offside traps and scoring. With good crosses in the box and a targetman like Hunter, we should be scoring plenty.

Well taken goal today versus Japan. Good to see he hasn't lost his goal-scoring touch despite not having played much in recent times.

We also have Kaladze who is definitely back to normal despite being away from the field for a year.

Huntelaar will score when he is given the ball.

Huntelaar is a great buy with great potential, but will only work if the midfield creates chances for him. He is there to finish, not to create.

Given how our team is set up and the personnel we have, I agree with Leonardo that Luis Fabiano would've been a better choice because the guy can actually drop back and do something with the ball.
