Balotelli has scored for Inter. 2-0 now. Roma are 1-0 up.

We needed to win and we won, although quite lucky I would say as Cagliari had a lot of chances in the 2nd half.

Inter and Roma also won, so we're still 3rd.

Full Time.

Scrappy second half, not convincing at all, and the games just get harder from now on.
Merda score just as many as we get, but conceed so much less. I can totally see the difference between our defence and theirs. Oddo manages to lose the ball in the opponents box against an opponents Striker's challenge, utter fail. We seriously need a major overhaul here.

Favalli, Jankulovski, Oddo and possibly Kaladze all out.
2 Centre backs and 2 Full backs please!

Phew, thank God it's over. We must show some appreciation to our double-agent Astori. Haha.

Now we're in this critical phase of the season I don't care if Leo begins to emulate Carletto cautious approach. We need a win so bad and we have it today. That's what matters to me.

Thanks a lot to everyone in the squad. Keep up the good work

What a horrible second half!

Dida's saves kept us ahead. So I have to say "great stuff Dida".

Also.......I was getting so pissed at the fact that at times Ambrosini and Gattuso don't have any brain in their head. On a few occasions......one of Cagliari's players has the ball 30-35m away from our net.....but we have him turned away and facing his own goal......we have him double teamed, yet Gattuso (and the Ambro later did the same thing) goes straight into the player and takes him out. You gotta be stupid to do that and give away a free kick in such a dangerous position when that player is no danger to our goal at all.....being turned away and double teamed.

At one instance Abate (of all people) screamed at Gattuso for needlessly fouling.

Anyway....there is not much to say about the performance. A couple of nice moments in the first haf where we could have actually been up by 2 or even 3 goals. But it seems like our players sh!t themselves in front of goal.....and don't want to score the easy ones.

The second half was just absolutely terrible. I don't know what happened at half time, but we really got lucky to walk away from this one with 3 points. Some of the players really have nothing to do with this shirt anymore......yet others clearly can't keep up the pace for 90mins.

If we win the Scudetto, then forget it. We can say that we were without 5 first team players, so any good team can win against us. Specially if Man Utd doesn't win any title this season, then the 4-0 win for Man Utd would be as enjoyable as our 3-0, because we ended up with UCL

How ever if Leonardo blows the chance of winning the Scudetto & Man Utd wins UCL or even EPL, then this defeat will really hurt us for a long time

Poor match which was won as Cagliari made more mistakes than us, and even then we were lucky. I was expecting an open match but today was farcical as only 2 goals of the 5 weren't just gifted.

The first half was insane as we took an early lead through Borriello. However, that was soon canceled out as we left Cagliari open in front of goal. I'm not sure whether it was Antonini's mistake or Thiago's as Antonini was covering his man while Thiago pushed up to try and play offside. Straight away we responded with our second as Hunter shot well from outside the box, but then again Pirlo lost the ball poorly and we conceded again. As for the third Milan goal, the less said the better as the only player who did well in that whole move from either side was Abate.

The second half we just tried to defend the lead, and even then we made a mess of it. We were caught out so often it was untrue and if it wasn't for some great saves by Dida today's match definitely wouldn't have been a victory.

Players...

Dida - Can't be blamed for any goals and overall some great saves
Abate - Did ok through the match but did struggle defensively as he had a lot of pressure down the wing. I was glad to see him run at opponents today with confidence.
Thiago - A couple of mistakes, one which was costly on the first goal. However, besides that a commanding, calming and solid display.
Favalli - Like Thiago a solid display, but marred by some poor mistakes that could have cost us.
Antonini - Needs to learn to shoot. Not bad on the whole, some important challenges, but also never looked assured.
Ambro - A very average game. He wasn't particularly solid and didn't add much to the side.
Pirlo - Poor performance, his passing was off (partly due to the wind) and he made mistakes he's not normally known for.
Seedorf - A few instances of quality (particularly his through ball for the first goal) and some defending. However, he struggles physically to get through matches and it's obvious to see.
Dinho - A decent performance, he held the ball well.
Huntelaar - A good performance, as he scored a great goal and missed a good chance. However, his effort for the team were clear to see and he may have been better staying on and Borriello coming off (although Borri does provide more physical presence up front).
Borriello - He was ok, doing his job. However, he wasted a lot of opportunities.
Zambrotta - Helped to add some much needed stability down the right flank.
Gattuso - Leo's best sub today as he added some strength in midfield where we were overrun at times.
Oddo - Was meant to come in to protect the lead as Abate was clearly tired. However, he wasn't particularly great nor helpful.

I wasn't impressed by today's match. I felt it was a poor match despite all the goals and often it felt like watching an amateur match given the kind of mistakes being made.

We were poor but managed a result. My hope is Catania can do us a favour and beat or at least draw with Palermo, just to give us some confidence in third place. As for the title race, with both Inter and Roma winning we've not actually made up any ground. A shame.

With Balotelli, Inter increases the strength of the bench and the pitch.....

We are not going to win Serie A this year.
Our target is Top 3, and I think it should be OK.

Leon's decision cost us 0 shoots in the second half today......
