This is exactly what Allegri MUST do. Take off Pirlo and Put Robinho. He is too scared and too Naive to do it. This is how I know Allegri is an idiot. How do you struggle offensively and have a great player seating in your bench? is Allegri nuts?

Poor Nesta ... he's playing his heart out and so won't really blame him. The goal would have come anyway!
With the goal, I think he was ready to throw himself at the strike but Di Maria tricked him by passing to Higuain instead.

If I'm honest, I just don't think our players have it in them to beat Real. I see a team that simply cannot cope with the blend of quality, organisation and athleticism they have. We have quality in areas, but lack the physical ability to keep up with them and therefore stand off their players a lot in fear of being beaten.

Nesta was at fault on the goal imo, the rest of the defensive line pushed up whilst he was too late to do so. Nice goal though, that can't be denied.

Allegri has learnt a lesson from Madrid. By playing 4-3-3 he's obviously trying to limit the space Real have in wide areas with Pato and Dinho dropping back when needed. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean Real aren't just able to pass through our midfield.

I think we need to look to hold possession more. We give the ball away too easily, allowing Madrid to hit us on quick breaks frequently. I'd like to also see our midfielders looking to physically rough up the Madrid players more. We have Boateng and Rino there, and they are able to play a physical game. By doing so we can hopefully look to disrupt Real's gameplan and hurt them a little mentally.

Because football is not only about strikers. There was just no connection between defensive and offensive. I can't imagine we played like that for whole first half of the game.

4 4 2.. You will need two attacking midfielders. Take off Pirlo and put Robinho. This Allegri must do if ever he wishes to play against the big boys like Real Madrid. As long as you only have three attackers, you are never going to trouble any defense. They are coming back in numbers. Even if Ronaldinho gets off a decent pass. The recipient is already surrounded by 3 or four players. This can never Work. Allegri keeps trying this night in and night out and it NEVER works

Cant really blame nesta for that goal.....he s doing his best.....had ibra converted those two glorious chances that we had it would have been a different game altogether....i am sure that allegri still wants to believe that we are playing good but we are trailing only coz of our silly mistakes....

Too many old players, too many young players on the opponents side. You cannot think that this is a winning plan on international level.

I wish I could say that we can turn around the game in the 2nd half but they're simply faster and technically better. Thankfully so far Ajax lost too. Nevertheless, Forza Milan!

Ibra missed two chanes and the whole real madrid team missed like 5 in the first 25 min we cant keep moaning about the chances but NEED to create more i dont understand allegri why R80 is on the wing he is the only one that can link the midfield to the attacks (As seen with the pass to ibra) he needs to be more central and i agree completely with dev^

Let's just hope for the best, Auxerre beats Ajax. There is no way this team is on par with a Mourinho coached Real Madrid team.
