Well People Face IT . Who is gonna replace Sheva ? MY answer is no one, Sheva is a perfect player . any club would pay millions to have him and i honestly see it stupid to let him go , if i was a milan board member , i would offer him 10 M a year to make him stay . we let him go and now we are crying over a striker worthy him , i am sure milan wont make such a signing in 10 years what was the period between van basten and sheva ? it will be the same period between sheva and our next star !!!

I totally agree with you. Sheva was great, was the finisher of all our attacking tactics. He was there the right moment, look at the last game against Red Star, we created a lot of chances, what was missing? Sheva to finish at least one of the three chances. For example in the cross of Cafu, Sheva would find a way to score or to cause more trouble in order to score someone else Pippo, Kaka etc. I want to give you an example, in our team our top scorer had proposals from other teams, he had contract but because my team has a loss of 24 milloin euros could pay him, we the funs give money to keep them. The president of the team who took all the money od the year money and he didnt pay anything wanted to sell him but... we spoke with him and we agree not to sign to go to another club if the president will not go away. Big teams dont leave their best players go away. Which is Chelsea?, who is Abramovic?. We are Milan a much greater club that the one of stamford bridge.

10 years is a bit over, maybe 3 or 4 years could do something... We will try Torres, and maybe some other strikers, remember Sheva wasn't like Torres at his age.

I think in the first 10 pages of this thread we established that we weren't looking for someone to fill Shevchenko's boots, we all agree he was unique. What we're looking for is someone to take his place in the team and bring their talents to the side.

You can't make someone stay no matter how much money you throw at them, so maybe it's you Lebanese that should face that fact.

We will get someone else, someone to finish opportunities and to help create them. So there's no need to dwell on the past.

So in short, if Milan overdoes Man Us bid it is up to Torres if he wants to arrive, great!

I honestly believe Torres would much rather play for Milan not only for soccer matters, but for a lifestyle choice. Italy is just like Spain when it comes to the daily aspect of life. He'll adapt much faster to Italy than in England. Also, for soccer matters, he has a better chance in winning in Europe with Milan than he does with Man U. If we don't get Torres, we can always settle for Ronaldo who is 29. Yes, 29. Reading other threads, many believe that Ronaldo is a middle-aged fat man who is nearing the end of his career.

I think ManU and Milan each will get one of Torres and Tevez.

Lets not get carried away now, there was a lot of times in Europe when Sheva wasn't there, we won just one CL with him (a win is all thats matter right) and that was more Pippo's doing than Sheva, Pippo scored the winning goal against Ajax in the semi-final, I do think he´s a better player than Pippo but he´s not a player that makes you want to turn on the TV just to see him he´s not that spectacular, he was effective i give him that. What I try to say is that with the rigth guy, we can achieve so much more than we ever did with Sheva If the rest of the team work´s as hard with the new guy as they did with Sheva there is no saying that we couldn't win three CL, like Real Madrid did when Raul played his greatest maybe he is the answer LOL.
The bottom line is, you got to have a great team behind the new guy cause they are not a one man army, no not even Sheva, he was good but not that good.

I totally agree. Still, we need a distinguished player at the striker position. Any decent stirker can come in and score 12-17 goals a season, but we don't just need a striker. Sheva not only scored, he created opportunites and was very much a focal point of our offense. He was much like Kaka but scored more. That's the kind of player we need. That's why I was glad we ddn't get Ibra or Crespo, as they are a duplicate of Inzaghi. Trezeguet is another one of those guys. They simply just pooch the ball in without any other noticeable skills.

Yeah I was really pleased to that we didn't got Zlatan I have given him a little to much negativity so I should stop that now, what I meant was that teams have won the CL without super strikers like Sheva, Henry and bla bla, why? Because the had great midfield's, Ajax, Bayern, Real, Liverpool all of this teams could change their formations if it was necessary, I don´t say it the Milan way but if we cant get a replacement for Sheva then we must do something, my advise beef upp the midfield and lets play great football again like we did against Man United

The player we need most right now is not really a direct replacement for Shevchenko. What we need is a forward to partner Gilardino for the next 4-6 years. Inzaghi will not last forever, he might not even last a season. Boriello is not proven at the highest level. Amoroso is already past his prime. We need a striker who will forge a starting partnership with Gila and lead the Milan line for years to come. If you asked me a couple of weeks ago, I'd say Ibra fit the bill. If you ask me now, I say Torres---young, fast, tall, has physical presence, skillful, and most important of all---his best is yet to come.
