head to head?

aaaah

Fiorentina 2-1 Parma
Parma 0-0 Fiorentina

Fiorentina 1-0 Bologna
Bologna 0-0 Fiorentina

Parma 1-2 Bologna
Bologna 3-1 Parma

fiorentina came out on top of both.

yeah it's head-2-head, that's why it's bologna parma in the play off.

Juve just got the cup of their 28th title....

The feeling that Milan didn't win the title, or didn't win the Champions League makes me so sick. But every Milanista will feel like that of course.

We only won the Italian supercup this season

Well, anyway...I'm happy this season is over. And next season we can start again and hopefully we'll have a great season then!

FORZA MILAN!!!

FORZA MILAN!!!
I am old enough to have witnessed the 2 times we were relegated and I am very disappointed, losing with Liverpool.
Still, I am proud to support Milan.

Here is how it works in Italy:

* inhale *

Ok in Italian football no matter how many teams are tied on points there can only be ONE play-off.

So if you take a quick glance at the table you will see Fiorentina, Bologna and Parma are all tied. Heck you will also see Bologna actually sit ABOVE Fiorentina (on gd).

But gd is irrelevant here. So what happens you make a mini-table with Fiorentina, Parma and Bologna. Then you see how many points the teams have secured in the encounters between each other. Since Fiorentina have secured the most between the 3, they are safe.

So then you would think, well what about Bologna and Parma, who has secured more between the two.

Irrelevant. Since Fiorentina have secured the most Bologna and Parma have to play the play-off!

* Exhale *

I totally agree! I have a lot of respect for Bologna, but i think that Fiorentina and Parma belong in Serie A.

I think Bologna deserve to stay on top more than those two ... Their only problem was their lack of a constant goal scorer (Ciprianis finishing IMO is terrible)

well fiorentina need to stay... just a few years back they were a good team.. i mean they were terrific to watch with batistuta, chiesa, toldo, and rui costa in their squad... and i really hope the viola makes a come back and start playing like their old self... as for parma if they go down a lot of new playes wont be made... just look at the players they made:

thuram, buffon, canvarro, bonera, ferrari, adriano, gilardino, and many more to come as long as they stay in serie a...
