No sheva_4ever...the EPL is the faster of the two leagues, and one of, if not the fastest in Europe.

This is potentially what has cost them in Europe for so long, Sir Fergie has also had to change his tactics for Europe, to play at a slower pace...the comeback vs Bayern in the final is a perfect example of how English teams can use pace to get back into games, and Liverpool, the example you keep referring to, did that for exactly 6 minutes vs Milan in Istanbul, and we all know the outcome there...

OK, so, TEVEZ is who I picked. He has enough skill, has been named player of the year in Brazil (and that is proof enough, as he is an Argentine, and one of the few, playing in the country that hates Argentines the most), can shoot, pass, dribble...he is just a little short, so dont expect many headers to score...but for this we have Gila...

So...Tevez it is for me! Watch him this WCup, and see for yourself how good he is.

You would think that the fact that Tevez, along with Riquelme, are the heart and soul of the Argentina national team, while Messi is a part-time starter and often Tevez' backup would give them a clue. But, alas, some are so Eurocentric in their thinking that they will only rate a player they see playing in Europe. Never mind that you could go to almost any street corner in Buenos Aires and pick up a team that could give a pretty good match to a lot of European national teams.

It does appear, if the reports are to be believed, that either RVN or Drogba will be coming to Milan. I would be okay with that, but I'd also like to see another striker bought, maybe Suazo.

messi is probably as good as ronaldinho ... in 5 years time we'll see who everyone will be talking about...

brazil is one thing, spain and europe is another especially when ur 18 years old

I'm saying this based on the fact that I watch Argentina play quite often and also watched Tevez play semi-regularly when he was at Boca Juniors.

I just hope it's not RVN he is hitting 30 in 2 months and just totaly not the type of player milan need with Inzaghi and Gila about, Toni and Adriano would be my front 2 runners

yeah well i know my football thank you... and i think messi is a better player than tevez (which does not mean tevez is a bad player, hes also great but messi is a phenomenon)

Guys, dont need to go after each other. Who is better: Pele or Maradona? You cant go wrong with either one and both could be the answer. So if you think Messi is better than Tevez, its alright. Same if you think otherwise. Both very good players, but makes no sense to talk Messi since he wont be joining us.

Hopefully Berlu and Galliani get Tevez.

mk18 is right, and I am very surprised that people doubt his opinion. Messi is definitely better than Tevez. Tevez is also definitely a good player with great potential, but you guys have gotta be kidding me by telling me Tevez is better than Messi right now, or will be in the future. Messi is only 18 and has played AMAZINGLY in Liga and Spain. Tevez is 21 and is playing in the Brazilian league (IMO, a class lower than Liga at least) and playing quite well, but still havent seen him do what Messi does.

But still, Tevez is really a good option for us, but Messi is defintely better than Tevez, even if they are in different positions I dont think Tevez comes near him.

Messi have only played a couple of games. Tevez have played several seasons. That is a BIG difference. Sorry, but no there is nothing saying that Messi is better NOW.

Age is irrelevant if we talk about who is best now. He have played good and even better in some games, but you seem to inflate his contribution. Here is from Barcelona site:
