forget about Toni and Crespo or Drogba. We need striker that can play in the middle with kaka as Sheva did. Think tacticcaly. And im sure Torres will not cost 40mil, Milan will do it their way as always. They will get as much as we offer, Atletico owes us money, and I do believe its all about polite dealč right now. I really believe Torres will be Milanista.25-30 mil max. -not more.

Of course... and besides that, to have the real possibility of picking a player like Torres and instead end with Crespo or Drogba will be a HUGE letdown...

To me, Inzaghi > Gilardino > Toni >>> Iaquinta (heck, I don't even know how to spell his name, did I spell it right? ).

Lippi is an idiot not to use Inzaghi often. IMHO.

Of course, Pippo is a killer, a brilliant player. And at this point still 20% better forward than Gilardino. Lippi didnt like Pippo while he was in Juve ( if I remember right...), and he will not play him now either. Look at the way Del Piero is playing - pathetic. Aldough I admired Lippi all the time, his managment at this WC is shamefull. Italian team is torn apart between Torino and Milano boys. Not playing Oddo, Pippo, even 70% Totti is better than Del Piero....bad moves by Lippi. Forza SuperPippo

Atletico Madrid have stated star striker Fernando Torres is not for sale following his impressive World Cup.

The likes of Milan and Manchester United have already been mooted as possible destinations for the Spain international.

Torres bagged three goals as Spain reached the second round in Germany, but their participation ended following a 3-1 loss to France.

Atletico president Enrique Cerezo has warned other clubs off from making a bid, but says Torres can leave if his lofty release clause is met.

"He has a clause of £41.4 million and anyone that wants him should pay it," said Cerezo to The Sun.

"We have not had any offers or contact with anyone. Fernando is an Atletico Madrid player. He wants to stay with us.

"Fernando is not for sale. We have no intention of selling - on the contrary we are a buying club."

Nevertheless, speculation is increasing in Spain that United are leading the chase for his services and the player would be tempted by a move to Manchester.

So it seems that they are capable of buying Agüero by a huge sum and at the same time to retain Torres... yeah, right.... lol

Torres is a very talented young player, but he's also unpolished. He's a work in progress. He may be great someday, but he's not worth nearly the price Atletico is asking (even in the rumors, much less the buyout price). Some of you seem to think that because Milan has money Berlusconi should turn into Roman Abramovich and buy big names at outrageous prices. That's never been how Milan has done business and it's one of the reasons the club has been successful on a consistent basis as well as financially sound. I would shudder to think what would happen to the club if some of you were left in charge. If Milan is going to spend the sort of money being talked about for Torres, I would much rather it go for Tevez, who is a far more complete player.

Boban, Rui Costa, Inzaghi was big money transfers or am I wrong , during the time the new Milan Empire was built there was´t any clubs that could compete with us financially and because of that transfer always stayed within our reach to have whoever we wanted. If I remember it correctly we had a bench players (around 1992-95) who would walked straight in to every top team in the world, that was the word´s the Swedish newspapers used. Maybe you are right when you say that we should drop Torres and go for Tevez but we can agree on one thing (I hope) we need a good support striker for Gila and that will cost money.
p.s I admit I wouldn't be a good General manager but if I was I would read the Milan mania transfer forum and buy every player I saw a thread of

On the mark: being Torres, Tevez or whatever other choice, replace Shevchenko with a worthy footballer will cost lots of money, it's simply näive think the contrary.

Damn you're on to me
One thing we all can agree on is that it will cost money, right? but the question is how much? we seems to have different opinion of what a big money transfer is, for me a 30 mil transfer is a real big one while for someone else 30 mil euro is pretty normal transfer. We all want what´s best for Milan we just have different ways of reaching that goal
