Just aslong as he doesn't try going in goal again and injuring his shoulder.

We got him in 1999, he spent 99-00 w/Corinthians, where he won the FIFA Club World Cup. Brought him back, then we benched him after Leeds and the whole passport thingy, loaned back to Corinthians for 01-02, then took Abbiati's place in August 02 and the rest is history.

And the slump in Juve's form when Emerson was tired wasn't only on show in CL but in Serie A too and in my mind it only goes on to show how important he was for his team ... unfotunately for him, his role on the field is that of someone who always does the dirty work and never get's noticed unless for negative reasons .[/quote]

i agree with you zlatanov , plus his injury was the main reason for the early termination of his national squad . emerson is kinda invisible player. you will only miss him when he is not around. now we will see the true value of diara and Gago. and u will really see what kind of domination milan will have when emerson is on the field , honestly i would love emerson to be a starter every match no matter who is gonna be a sub .

superb or not, he still doesnt deserve to show up in milan and take #5. We can make bonera our next milanista with that number, or we can spare it for someone 'greater'. After all, emerson is still just a mercenary for 2 seasons!

Nice transfer, Milan had only Gattuso and Ambrosini to do that kind of role.

There is no way i would play Emerson over Rino, over ambro maybe but not over rino who is IMO the best DM in business in the world.

The main reason that I have for supporting his arrival, is that Carlo specifically requested him...and our poor coach hardly gets who he asks for...so I am happy for him, and hope that we will all benefit from his aquisition.

Welcome Puma!! FORZA MIIIIIIIIIIILAN!!

I'll say it once again, good signing, but I still think we're going to sign another 3-4 players, honestly, i mean, those 2 young brazilians, and then we can sign huntelaar or baptista too

Finally, we get our man. Emo would be a fantastic addition to the squad. He is not a true midfield destroyer like Rino or Ambro, but more of a holding mid who makes an impact through his positional sense and passing rather than speed or solid tackling. This is why he gets away with his pace, or the lack thereof

Either way, Im happy. He can play anywhere in the middle three and I would love to see Rino Pirlo EMo as our starting midfield trio..

I doubt Carlo had trouble persuading the management as Braida has wanted him since 2000

Why would carlo have to anyways, any normal coach should be able to get the players he needs and wants without having to beg management, and carlo, after winning us champions league, should be beyond anyone in saying who he wants at our club.

In Italy the coach often doesn't have much say in which players are bought, and usually at most only make suggestions as to what players the club needs. Then the management (Galliani, Braida and Berlu in our case) decide which player is the best to go for.
