I have to reiterate....its been years, back to the regrettable Zaccerphony years, since I have seen us play so poorly.

Pathetic really, for the defending champs to put in this sort of display. Understandable though, when there is no competition for a starting place, therefore no matter how poorly you played the game before, you are guaranteed a starting spot next match day.

Pirlo, Kaka, and Ambrosini have done absoloutley nothing this game to warrant even taking the trip to the Ukraine.

Lets hope R99 manages to make a difference...but the entire team (apart from Nesta, Kala, and Dida (for Goodness sakes!!!) who are our best players) seem clueless. This is a certifiable waste of time.

We shouldnt even come out of the tunnel for the second half, if we plan to play as we did in the first.

I would take Ambro off, he's been making more fouls than anything else today...Milan is playing like the typical visitor, waiting for the other team to mess up...and shakhtar seems more conservative at home than they were at the san siro...serginho has tried pushing from the left and cause of that shaktar has looked more dangerous from his side, while bonera has contributed very little from the right but milan is more solid defiensively on the right...pirlo was limping for a while, think he's ok now...seedorf-kaka-gila have not been able to find spaces at all today, dont think Milan was ever dangerous...unleash ronnie!!!!

Poor first half. Shakhtar are playing fairly defensively looking for strong counters, though in all honesty there were periods where they dominated. Our passing is slack, we're playing very deep (at one attack I counted 7, yes 7!!! players lined up across the halfway line, we've had no width and we're way too slow. Gila's isolated up front, neither Seedorf or Kaka are anywhere to be seen a lot of the time and there's no options for players in deep areas (like Pirlo) because most of the team are to their side or just behind. Kaka I'm not too disappointed in though, as everytime he gets near the ball Fernandinho hacks away at him. In that respect Fernandinho did get a yellow at the end of the half, so Kaka shouldn't get fouled as much.

Until now a disappointing performance and a disappointing game overall. I'm certain Carlo will have seen the problems (they're pretty glaring) so should be communicating right now how to improve.

Yeah, but remote, unless there is a complete "sea change" in how we play in the 2nd half, we will be lucky to leave the Ukraine with a draw.

burns, I'd bring Ronaldo in 5 minutes into the 2nd half in for Rino (depending on how bad we playing) and Oddo for Bonera immediately because he lost far too many balls with his lame long-passes.
